Record Day 2025 is upon us this Saturday. I will as per usual be at the store. We don't stock any of the RSD releases but we do stock Tea Coffee, biscuits and a shed load of records. In addition there wont be any queues. If anyone wants to pop in for a dig and a chat please pm me. :)

This Saturday 13th April 2009 is Anti Corporate Record Store Day here at Therapy The Hub !! That special day for record lovers where you can choose to either queue around the block for a record and most likely pay a bit extra if they have a copy left or you can come and visit us have some tea and biscuits and dig through 35,000 records and then save upto 25%....:)

Sad to see this kind of report on streaming seeing as the revenue generated for artists is small anyway. But as I keep saying Streaming is dreaming.

Interesting article on the environmental impact of streaming music, also important to add to this that the phones most people use to stream are upgraded by the consumer every one to two years whereas a decent record player and sound system will last for years. So the environmental impact of the manufacturing process of the media device itself should also be factored in.
Not that true music lovers need a reason to buy a physical format over a load of zeros and ones.

The plastic and packaging that comes with CDs and vinyl makes them seem worse for the environment, but the popularity of music streaming services may be polluting in other ways.

Next Saturday 21st April 2018 is Record Store Day 2018 normally an opportunity for Vinyl lovers to queue for hours to purchase over priced reissues that may or may not have sold out by the time you actually get in the store.........

Here at Therapy The Hub we do it a little bit differently... then again we have always been a tad different.

No overpriced pointless reissues, no inflated prices and definitely no copies of Shaggy Oh Carolina.
