I’m delighted to announce that renowned New Orleans pianist, organist, singer and songwriter John ‘Papa’ Gros is coming to the UK in September for a short solo tour. 🎹⚜️

“A true torchbearer of the New Orleans piano tradition, Gros stands in the mighty lineage of Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Allen Toussaint and Art Neville — blending swamp funk, Mardi Gras rhythms, deep Southern soul, jazz, blues and Hammond organ grooves into one explosive live experience.

This Friday, come to the lovely , described by TripAdvisor as a ‘hidden gem’. will be performing his excellent solo show, celebrating the music and stories of two of the greatest New Orleans pianists ever to have lived, Dr John and James Booker.

Next week (20th May) he’s playing an After Hours show at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham , following the performance of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra - you can get a ticket for both shows together or just to see Dale - see www.trch.co.uk for more details

His home town show, always a busy one, is at on Saturday 6th June - don’t delay on getting a ticket for that, they’re likely to sell out!

And back on Saturday 20th June to one of Dale’s favourites, in Camden. Such a special venue with a great New Orleans vibe. Also a venue that generally sells out for Dale’s shows, so don’t wait till the last minute on this one!
