fans BLANKET OR SLEEPING BAG ?
When it comes to choosing what's best to keep you warm at night and you have to choose between a bag or a blanket, I go with blanket every time.
For several reasons.
1. I don't like to feel restricted, a bag will often do this.
2. You are not wasting any of the loft, with a bag the underside is compressed under your bodyweight and loses all of the ability to trap any warmth.
3. A blanket is more versatile.
4. A blanket is easier to air.
5. If you like to hammock camp then when combined with a underquilt the blanket is much more comfortable others are likely to make you feel like you are cocooned.
These are my thoughts, which method do you prefer ?

fans Bushcraft isn't just about how to survive in the woods, it teaches you to think outside of the box and be inventive when the need arises.
As in this case, I needed a handle for the back door on my micro camper and found a small pair of old grips on a farmers market.
It works perfectly and fits well with the over all theme of the interior.

Tip for you to keep cool, take a cold can of pop or bottle and place on the inside of your wrist, this cools the blood as it flows throughout your body.

fans One thing I believe is the wherever possible you try and choose gear that has more than one purpose.
For example the flextail matress inflater will also double as a bellows to help get your fire going, much better than waving your dinner plate back and forth.
Some of the flextails also have a built in lantern so another useful feature there.
What do you carry on camp that has a use other than what it was intended ?
