Something new is growing at HD8 Life CIC... and of course it’s rooted in community, collaboration, and keeping it local.

HD EIGHT is a brand new initiative inspired by the brilliant Sussex Six (ask Google!) which was brought to our attention by Caroline from Under The Mast (thank you).

The HD EIGHT idea is simple: we’ll be inviting local hospitality and retail businesses to pledge to always offer eight (8) locally sourced products - created, made, baked, brewed, or grown within an HD postcode.

It’s a way to champion our local producers and suppliers, support our local economy, and build stronger connections across our community - one product at a time.

We can’t wait to tell you more soon. In the meantime, let us know what you think!

The annual DENBY DASH RACE DAY is only a few weeks away now…

Taking place here in Denby on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August, and there are still plenty of JUNIOR places available for both the DENBY GALLOP and PIRATES SHIP CHALLENGE…

THE DENBY GALLOP…

For children aged 6 to 8 years

A 1 mile (2km) scenic loop on tracks and fields with a steep 140ft climb followed by a fast gallop home.

THE PIRATE SHIP CHALLENGE…

For children aged 9 to 16 years

A 2 mile (3km) course over fields and conservation land with a challenging 240ft climb up to the pirate ship before a fast return route home.

Junior races starting at 10.30am with registration from 9.30am ‘til 10.15am and prize giving at 11.30am…

BOTH races are kindly sponsored again this year by Yummy Yorkshire and there’ll be a tub of their lovely ICE CREAM for everyone making it to the finish line! 🐮

Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each race; also U11, U13 & U17 prizes for Pirate ship challenge.
