It made our week when we opened up Shelley Magazine for a flick through, and spotted our little article about the HD EIGHT initiative.

If you haven’t come across it yet, HD EIGHT is our growing pledge campaign encouraging local shops, cafes, restaurants and businesses to stock a minimum of eight HD-made products at any one time.

That’s eight products (not necessarily from eight different producers), and from any HD postcode - not just HD8.

The aim is simple: to boost our brilliant makers, producers and independents. It’s simple, collaborative, and completely FREE to get involved. Hop over to our website to find out more.

The more businesses who join in, the more visibility we can give to the incredible talent on our doorstep - and the easier it becomes for local folks to shop local.

LIGHT UP THE WOODS **POSTPONED**

Unfortunately, Storm Claudia has done her worst (yes, she is a Traitor), and the difficult decision to postpone Light Up the Woods 2025 has been made.

Here is the message from the organisers:

"Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, in the interests of everyone's safety, we have made the sad decision to postpone this year's Light Up The Woods.

We are looking at alternative dates, so please do not dispose of your displays. If you can store them, we will have news of an alternate date as soon as we can.

Please advise anyone you know who was coming of this decision."

So, please do not head to Cliffe Woods tomorrow evening (Sat 15 Nov), but please keep your eyes peeled for the new date.
