We are excited to announce that Sherborne has been shortlisted for an award in the Powering Change category of the Let's Celebrate Towns UK Awards 2025.

The award recognises towns that have effectively addressed specific sustainability challenges, with initiatives focused on for example, promoting the adoption of electric vehicles, or advancing renewable energy production and consumption.

Sherborne Pride Thanks 🏳️‍🌈
As Town Mayor — and a Christian — I believe that God is love. And where there is love, there is also dignity, hope, and welcome.

I’m proud that Sherborne is a place where people can live with openness, respect, and mutual care. Events like this help to build a kinder and more connected community, for everyone.

Thank you to Sadie and the Pride organisers, volunteers, and all of you who came today to show your support. I hope you had a wonderful, joy-filled Pride.

Let’s keep working together for a Sherborne where no one is left out — and where love truly does live at the heart of our town.

Congratulations to Catherine Molineux, winner of the Sherborne Photography Competition, part of the North Dorset Photography Awards, with her beautiful photo 'A Hardy Town'.

And a huge well done to all those, in each of the three categories, that entered the competition and those voted through to the next stage by the public vote.

Catherine's photograph now features at the North Dorset “Winner of Winners” Exhibition, at The Exchange in Sturminster Newton showcasing the region’s talent and promoting North Dorset as a must-visit destination.
