Still here.... HATING winter 🤣 Keeping busy

But on a positive note my colitis is behaving itself ✅
I've got a new job ✅
And I'm spending too much money on car parts ✅✅✅

V2 Of the car loading.....

My plan to keep my mind busy over winter

Not that you'll see a lot of the changes but a whole underside refresh is coming! Arms, hubs, subframe, bushes the whole lot. And a full refurb of the underneath while it's all off.

Probably gonna stress me enough to put me in a colitis flare 🫣 But hopefully the scraped knuckles will be worth it with a splash of Crohn's & colitis awareness 🙂

Just need to get a couple more pennies then give a shout for obviously some daft colour options on parts 😁

Winter is coming.... And I HATE it! 😥

Does anyone else struggle mentally in winter? Going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.

No car activities 😥

I also notice my colitis tries to be daft In winter too. Maybe that's just a coincidence 🤔

I've got a bit of an overhaul to do underneath the car so hopefully that will keep the mind busy. And keep it alive for many more years🙂

Did I struggle to write this post? Yes. Being a guy I'm useless at opening up sometimes. But past me would (I think) have found this useful.. so here goes...

Even though in this picture it looks like everything is all good... My head has been going a million miles a second!

The build up to this evening started a couple of hours before setting off. I'd never been to this place before so I started thinking about that.

Then my symptoms started.... But I've been fine....Why is it doing this now!?

Then I got a spot in the courtyard area which was cool... But then I'm worrying about that!

Does my Ulcerative colitis have another kind of hold over me even when I'm well mentally? Is it anxiety?

Whatever it is, it pi**es me off! It's like I feel fine but it still has this ability to ruin my day/evening which really gets to me sometimes. I've also noticed it on the build up to trackday etc or when I'm just about to go out on track.

Did it ruin my evening? No! I soon started to chill out chatting to friends and people that have the same passion for cars as me 🙂

Can you relate?

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to combat the mental side? Or something you do to the build up?💜
