It was a beautiful morning for a quick fly out over the North Norfolk coast.

Took the DJI Mini 3 out over Sheringham to put its image quality through its paces — and it didn’t disappoint.

It was time to upgrade to the Mini 3 Pro from my trusty Mini 2 so we went for our maiden flight this morning!! It was a bit windy down the beach where I would normally go for a morning fly so it was up to the heath... Having the inbuilt screen on the controller was worth the upgrade alone but haveing verticle shooting is also a nice touch.

As the sun set, the Sheringham beacon and Lamp of Peace were lit to mark 80 years since VE Day.

A quiet but powerful close to the day — light in the darkness, and a reminder of what was won.

Grateful to have witnessed both ends of this day. Sheringham marking history with dignity and heart.

This morning at Sheringham Town Clock, the 80th anniversary of VE Day was marked with a proclamation by the Town Crier, joined by Mayor Peter Ratcliffe and local veterans.

A powerful moment of remembrance — not just for history, but for the freedom we live in today.

“Never give up. Never despair.”

A quiet start to Sheringham’s VE Day celebrations this morning.

As we join others across the UK in marking 80 years since Victory in Europe, it’s a moment to pause, reflect, and honour those who came before us.

These days matter — not just for history, but for how they shape who we are now

The weather was just too good not to fly this morning.

Blue skies, calm green sea, and a couple of fishing boats out on the horizon — sometimes all you need is a quiet moment above it all, before you head to work!!

Good Friday – Walk of Witness

On Good Friday, we carried the Cross from St. Peter’s Church to the clock tower in the centre of Sheringham, where we paused for a short service and prayer. From there, we continued up Beeston Bump, raising the cross high above the town.

This walk was a powerful act of remembrance.

As the Cross stood overlooking Sheringham, it became more than just a symbol—it became a silent witness of sacrifice, forgiveness, and hope.

Thank you to everyone who joined us along the way and at the top of the bump for a time of worship and reflection.

Ai is opening so many creative doors for story telling. I am definitely of the opinion that’s it’s a great tool and will never truly replace creatives. This is by no means perfect but it does illustrate quite well one of the possibilities.

I wasn’t expecting to find a legend in the middle of the forest.

No signal. No map. Just mist, trees, and something… massive. Buried in moss and silence, it looked like it had been there for decades—part machine, part myth. I didn’t know what it was or why it was there. I just knew it wasn’t finished.

Getting it out was one thing. Bringing it back to life was something else entirely.

I spent weeks in the garage, trying to understand it. I didn’t have schematics or manuals—just a gut feeling and a growing connection. Piece by piece, I worked. Welding. Restoring. Repairing. Cleaning off the years of rust, dust, and battle scars. It was like waking a sleeping giant.

Then came the moment.

The first time we stepped into the city together, everything changed. I wasn’t just a guy with a wrench anymore. I was the pilot.

Climbing into the cockpit, I felt something click. The systems lit up. The controls felt… familiar. Like they were made for me. And then, we moved.

Faster than I thought possible. More powerful than I could’ve imagined. The ground shook as we ran, jumped, and tested every limit. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I had purpose.

And then it happened.

Another mech. Heavily armed. Aggressive. Waiting.

There were no words—just instinct. The city became our battlefield. Sparks flew. Steel collided. It wasn’t just a fight. It was a calling answered.

This wasn’t just about reviving a relic.
It was about stepping into something bigger.
Something meant for me.

Big thanks and congratulations to Colin Seal and Sheringham Carnival (official) for organising such a fantastic event. I’m currently editing the film, so stay tuned for more soon!
