Great to see Lady Anne's Way featured on Channel 5's Yorkshire Great and Small last night. It's a lovely walk following in the footsteps of Lady Anne Clifford as she travelled between Skipton and Penrith restoring castles and churches and building almshouses. A great place for a drink while you wait for your train. We hope it does well

This weekend saw the doors of the new cafe bar at Horton open for the first time.

Volunteers Cath Robertson and Jon Tomlinson are pictured serving refreshments at the bar.

The cafe will be open between 10am and 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

A big thank you to all involved with the project.

We're very proud to publish Lady Anne's Way guidebook

This week's featured walk is Lady Anne's Way a classic long distance route which runs for 100 miles and starts from Skipton Castle. The walk passes through the Yorkshire Dales on its way into the Upper Eden Valley and through Kirkby Stephen and Appleby before finishing in Brougham, Penrith.

The route was inspired by Lady Anne Clifford who travelled repeatedly between her castles and the route takes in the ruins of these historical buildings. A statue of Lady Anne Clifford proudly stands in front of the town's visitor centre.
