RAISE is part of The Salvation Army, and we worked with them recently to produce a series on communicating and working with children experiencing grief.

The content is so valuable and we’ve learnt so much from working on this project, too!

To produce these 5 films we shot in our studio over one day, drawing in two in-person interviews and one online interview with professional children’s and youth workers. All in a set that had to be carefully recreated to maintain coherency with previous episodes. 📸

We loved this, and can’t wait for it to be out in the world! 🌍

A carefully considered colour grade builds upon what the film intends to show.

It’s often the finishing touches to ensuring that what’s meant to be premium looks premium, what’s meant to be uplifting looks uplifting and what’s meant to breed sorrow for the audience or consumer, actually does tug on those heart strings!

It’s also a practical way of keeping footage coherent as you move between different environments and lighting conditions.

Have a look here at some of our grading examples; some subtle and clean, some deep and rich, some warm and soft - but all adhering to what it’s meant to.
