18 months fighting for part time hours at work and finally, here I am on a random Tuesday with my son and parents visiting a National Trust property.

Lovely time celebrating Galentines Day with the girls 💜
Me and my husband have been together so long now that we haven’t celebrated Valentines Day for actual years 😂 we just do the anniversary or when we got together and when we got married (because there’s 14 years between them 🤣)
But it was so lovely today have a some time being me and not mum or wife (although I obviously love being those things more than anything in the world).
Food, some terrible painting, face made, nails and so many laughs!
Now I’m home with my boys 🩵

What. A. Week. We’ve all had this horrible flu that’s going round - it’s honestly awful. I don’t do being ill in any way shape or form, but I actually ended up having to go to A&E yesterday with breathing problems and ended up leaving with an inhaler!

Then today Ollie slept 2 hours later than normal which isn’t like him at all, he’s always up between 6-6:30. When I eventually woke him up, he couldn’t open his eyes, they were so swollen, he was super hot and he couldn’t stay awake 😫 luckily our drs are amazing and offered an appt within 30 mins of me phoning. He now has conjunctivitis and an ear infection, caused by the flu and now has eye drops and antibiotics!

Anyway, he’s in bed, Father Christmas has been. I’m having a Lemsip and then I’m going for a nice long shower and to wash my hair in the hope we’re all feeling better in the morning.

This Christmas is turning out to be SO magical! I thought I wouldn’t get this experience until next year when Ollie’s a bit older, but he’s so excited and really getting involved this year and I’m loving it! It’s so sweet to see. My heart is so full 🥰🎄🎅🏻

Today I donated my last pint of blood for this year ✅
Whilst I was lay in the chair having my 5 mins peace, I thought to myself about how one day I won’t have to book a couple of hours annual leave to do this, because one day my business will mean I’m my own boss and I’ll be able to do what I want, when I want. And I truly can’t wait for that day ❤️
