2024 reflection …. Just want to take a moment to truly show my appreciation for the support you’ve all shown me this year.
10 releases (we nearly hit 1 release a month) 6 of those landed in the charts and one made it all the way to number 8 (I Know A Place)
Here’s some things I learnt:
1) The power of music.. can take you quite literally all over the world. Techno specifically for me creates a transcendence journey which the acts as a medium to higher emotions and consciousness… I had no idea before I started touring how impactful my tracks would become for people in their everyday life’s.. the power to escape reality through music is powerful .rave thanks for many amazing experiences in Germany 🇩🇪 you have my heart
2) The importance of rest and reflection …
Mastering production, (miles off) building playlists, searching the earth for unheard bangers, travelling between venues… (I hit my record this year 5 shows in 1 weekend Gen nearly died) it’s super important to take time away and recharge the creative mind. Huge thanks to my camera team .mytechno.pro and for helping admin my life where they could whilst travelling
3) Being ok with the sounds of your own footstep… music industry and trends change fast sometimes it’s good to just go with it and see where it will take you but be ok playing and making whatever the f**k you choose too. I wana thank .collective in trusting in me to go from peak style to harder sounds
4) Imposter syndrome… every set I’ve had doubts and fear this is normal and prob won’t ever go away I don’t think people talk about it too often this is the part I thank for some really powerful voice notes of advice she sent me 🫶❤️
5) lastly have fun doing it, DJs get soo caught up perfecting the art their sounds and making the perfect set we sometimes forgot to have fun ourselfs thanks for the continued support from the fans the artists that contributed and everyone who was involved this year we begin again Feb 15th in .bristol
