Hi all, Brad here.

You might have noticed things have changed a little bit. I no longer offer solely electrical services. Me and Adam now offer bathrooms, kitchens, summer houses, cloakrooms, as well as smaller jobs and all those handyman bits and bobs you might need.

To give a bit of background, me and Adam both trained at a kitchen and bathroom company around 10 years ago to actually learn and gain a trade on paper. We’re both qualified plumbers and electricians (myself the spark and Adam the plumber), as well as all the other stuff you just learn and pick up along the way. Before you know it, 10 years have gone by.

We also put everything we do on social media, including YouTube, so you can see not just the before and after, but the whole process. Our latest video is a full bathroom transformation.

We put our faces on everything we do, which some would say takes a bit of guts, but at the end of the day we’re proud of what we do and want to show it.

And to everyone who has messaged about electrical work, don’t worry. Any electrical work as part of our projects is still going ahead, and smaller electrical jobs will resume from the end of September.

Cloakroom to Utility = Loo-tility COMPLETE

We took a brand-new cloakroom in a Taylor Wimpey new build and converted it into a fully functioning utility room, giving the client somewhere to house their washing machine and tumble dryer.

Electrics, plumbing, carpentry, flooring and all the other bits in between — we covered the lot.

Laying a new floor -to

Our first bathroom completed together as a team.

It was an interesting change to document the whole job from start to finish.

The rip out, plumbing and electrics were definitely interesting days, followed by all the plastering, tiling and flooring, and finally the end result, all completed by us.

I see plenty of people post their before and after pictures online, but to actually give the client the opportunity to watch the whole process from start to finish is something different.

Many people wonder what actually goes into a bathroom renovation, and hopefully we managed to capture the good, the bad and the ugly along the way.

Another job well done by the OddJobs team.

Cowboy builders government scheme… I don’t think it’s going to work.

Personally, I think this scheme is a cover-up for something else.

But if it really does go ahead, I think you’ll see everyone else becoming worse off, except those in government, of course.

That’s just my opinion, but I guess we’ll see what happens.

Bathroom installation prep work is one of the most time consuming parts of the job but so important. Laying the ply for the flooring and building the boxing
