Hoe we got to our home renovation is the sweetest journey. It was always meant to be ours, yes it’s been hard but worth it

The kitchen island light…

This has weirdly been the hardest decision I’ve had to make during the whole kitchen renovation!!. It’s been 4 months since the kitchen was completed and STILL I can’t decide??? Honestly I don’t know what to go for, so thought I’d ask insta for some help. should I go for…..

I’ve driven poor Tanu mad with trying to make my mind up, chaining my mind or just saying “Tanu I just don’t think I’ll bother now” 🤭

With only 34 days until spring, I wanted to share our garden mood board with you. We started it years ago and we think we’ve finally settled.

We’re planning to go right across the back, an outdoor kitchen will be clad in a red cedar wood, with black accents. It will lead out onto an aluminium pergola covered seating area. With cream/black seating and a fire, this will have slat fencing with grass wall panels

With large Matt creamy porcelain slabs, along the left side will have slat fencing and black fence posts with of olive trees leading up a path LED strip path.

A nice little seating area with a bistro set will sit under the kitchen window and another patio will flow up to the bi folds bringing indoors and outdoors together. We’ve actually started to think we might go real grass instead of artificial!!! But time will tell I guess 💚🤭

The vibe I want for this garden is a cozy inviting vibe with soft lighting and LED strips lighting the pathing, ohh and a hint of let’s party under the LED lite pergola

House renovating brings you a constant battle with making the right choices first time!! To save time and money, our next decision to make is what colour the outside cladding should be, we was sure we wanted sage green but now seeing black we’re not so sure.

Do we match the cladding to the vibe of the garden which will have warm tones of cedar woods and blacks we could go for chocolate brown to complement the woods in the garden.
Or do we go with Sage green the colour we really like. It’s a hard choice and one we need to get right the first time as we won’t be doing this job again if we get it wrong 🫣🫠

En-suite mood board updates…

We want the En-suite to match the same vibe as our bedroom creamy calming with hints of gold glam. Now Alex has always had a few non negotiables in this room lol as follows

The Largest shower space we can fit in
Min of 50x50 square shower head
I’ve spent ages trying to find the biggest shower head but think I might have finally the size just not in brushed brass 😩
I had always wanted a fluted glass shower screen but now the style is coming together I feel it just needs a simple clear glass.

We have decided on the tiles, a creamy cloudy Polished Porcelain style, which compliments the fittings perfectly, with a wood style tile on the flooring to bring some more warmth into the room.

Vanity unit- I’ve not found one I love yet but I have a style in mind and think I might be able to create it with a few Ikea units, paint and spray paint. We’re still to choose the sinks and taps but I think I’d like them simple and stylish.

The mirror id love this to be a statement!!! But not sure how yet 😉😉 ohh did you like my drawing lol

Whilst I LOVE the creamy gold vibe I want to add a little colour and plan to do this with the towels, a deep aubergine purple is my top fav at the min closely followed by chocolate brown.

2025 is the DGAF year if I want aubergine purple towels then im having them lol

Let me know your thoughts and any suggestions 🫶🏻

A picture really does speak a 1000 words…

Creating a bedroom fire suite was always the plan to add to our bedroom to create a warm and cosy room to relax. I had quite alot of people say to me WHY would you put a fire in your bedroom?!. My answer why wouldn’t I?

Kitchen before and after, Right move addition

Our dream kitchen started out as 2 rooms and an open space, we created a design for the house of our dreams and set to work to make it our reality.

Over the course of 2yrs we worked every weekend, day off, holiday we could. We smashed out 99% of thr old bungalow with a strong vision for a huge welcoming open plan living area.

We took the old roof off, built a new extension then smashed through both rooms to create the space. It took us another year before we got it ready for the new kitchen to be fitted. It was extremely hard both physically and emotionally to renovate a house but once you have your family all sat in your family room we can look at eachother and think, you know what we couldn’t see it at the time BUT it is was worth it.

What a weekend we had full of fun Halloween celebrations 🎃 We hosted our Florence’s party, I do love to serve up a feast and our skeleton charcuterie board story went crazy with questions!! Yep we made it all except the sandwiches which we ordered from such a good price!!, So here’s a round up of what we made.

🎃 Spooky white chocolate covered strawberry’s & Custard creams. Melt some white chocolate and dip in the strawberry’s and custard creams. Add some edible eyes (I got them from ) place on a baking sheet and pop in the fridge.

🎃 Scary Apple monsters, slice a green apple in half, the slice out a triangle of each half to create the mouth. Layer on peanut butter add a slice of strawberry for the tongue and stick on edible eyes with a smidge of peanut butter. I did these last min to avoid the apples going brown.

🎃 Pumpkin cake pops, blend some cake, mix into a bowl with some frosting and roll into balls. Melt some white chocolate and add some orange food colouring, dip the balls into the chocolate. Place into a baking sheet and add a small piece of pretzel stick to make the stalk and pop into the fridge to go hard. Made by my kayleigh

🎃 Grave yard puds, another goodie made by my Kayleigh. Throw some Oreo’s into a blender and blitz into a dust. Use some plastic cups layer the chocolate pudding and blitzed oeros and build up the layers. Once you get to the top add some sweets for decoration Kay used food colouring and made tomb stones out of biscuits.

🎃 finally I made a spiderweb themed cake with 3 layer of spooky colours and my MIL made some cupcakes for the spooky tower.

We laid our skeleton out and layered on sandwich’s, nuggets, fruit, veg and all the goodies we made. Let me tell you it was all striped bare by the end of the party. So that’s how we did it any question please let me know ♥️

When your renovating your house, choosing your Home heating can be hard, i made a silly mistake when ordering one of our radiators it was to small for the space we put it in. We recently upgraded it with we love love LOVE every single style of our radiators so we picked exactly the same but bigger let me explain.

The original radiator was only 500 high, compared to the others which are 600. It was also a 2 Column. We in fact needed a 600 high with 3 columns which creates so much more heat and from a happy interior point all my rads down stairs finally match 🖤✨.
