PETA is after our main man The Jolly Fisherman!. We won't let them replace him! Big ups to our east coast mascot.

The "Jolly Fisherman" character in Skegness, created by John Hassall, is 117 years old in 2025. The iconic poster featuring the character was created in 1908. A celebration for the character's 115th birthday was held in Skegness in July 2023.

A councillor has branded calls to replace the seaside town's iconic mascot as 'nonsense'.
