Reporter: Strong words from SirShankAlotāyour response?
You: Look, I respect confidenceā¦ but thereās a fine line between confidence and stand-up comedy, and heās wandered firmly into the second category. If he thinks this is going to be a walk in the park, he might want to check which direction the fairway actually runs first.
Reporter: He questioned your ability pretty heavilyā¦
You: Yeah, I heard. Funny thing is, while heās been busy counting my bad shots, Iāve been counting his excuses. By Saturday, I think weāll see which one runs out first.
Reporter: He said heās not even preparing for you.
You: Thatās alrightāhe wouldnāt know how to prepare for me anyway. You canāt study something you donāt understand, and Iāve got a few surprises lined up that donāt show up at the driving range.

You: Chaotic? Maybe. But chaos wins matches when itās controlled. The difference is, I know where my ballās meant to goā¦ even if I take the scenic route getting there.

You: None. Excited, if anything. These are the kind of matches you enjoyāgood crowd, big talk, and a chance to remind someone that golfās played on the course, not in interviews.
