Welcome to this week's Sound Project where it's another Smooth Monday, which started with International DJ José being locked in the bathroom!
There are some superb tracks and a very odd one from Frankie Howerd & June Whitfield in which the phrase "Look at the size of that hole" is used! Other artists include Spandau Ballet, The Beautiful South, Charles & Eddy, Kiki Dee and Joan Armatrading. After a few weeks of relative mayhem in the Live Lounge, we’ve done what we needed to do and updated a few things on the website. The new Live Lounge has been tested and appears to be working very well. As it’s a new, updated version, there are a couple of small changes that are worth mentioning, so please click on the link and read through before you use it, just to be sure you don't get stuck on the night!

Come and join Mark for the first Funky Monday chart show, with tracks from Nick Lowe, Elton John, Donna Summer, The Real Thing, The Pasadenas, Kajagoogoo and loads more, all of whom were in the Top 40 this week in their respective years from 1974 - 1994. We were late starting, but you won't care about that because you're listening on catch-up! In order to recreate that, why not decide to start listening and then wait 4 minutes before clicking play!!

It's 80's night on the Sound Project and it was all going so well until the electricity cut out on me halfway through the show. Still, on listen again you won't have the agony of waiting for me to come back online because all of that has been cut out. It was a great show with some brilliant interactions from the lovely Rodriguez Rabble and tracks from, amongst others, Diana Ross, Robert Palmer, New Order, The Pointer Sisters, Eurythmics, Rick Astley and loads more.

A couple of weeks ago, I featured Analog Society on the show and played their brilliant new single, Feeling Lonely.

They are now on the shortlist to play the Truck Festival this year, which could make a massive different to them in terms of exposure and money towards studio time etc.
