Don't only pray when you need something

Pray to know God. Pray to seek His will. Pray to give thanks. Pray because He invites you to draw near

Happy hearts. Peaceful souls. One family in Christ

There is something beautiful about seeing God's people gathered with joyful hearts, listening to His Word, and encouraging one another in love. In His presence, burdens become lighter, hope is renewed, and faith is strengthened.

“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’” — Psalm 122:1

SUNDAY SERVICE | “NGWARAI SENYOKA”

What a powerful Sunday Service as Singing Apostle Batsirai Shasha unpacked Jesus' words in Matthew 10:16:

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”
The message reminded us that Christ calls believers to live with godly wisdom, not worldly cunning. Just as a snake has distinct characteristics, there are lessons we can apply to our walk with God.

*Key lessons from “Ngwarai Senyoka”:

*Don't be cheap – A snake is not found everywhere. Learn to carry yourself with wisdom and value your God-given purpose.
*Be spiritually alert – A snake detects danger early. Stay watchful because challenges can arise unexpectedly.
*Be patient – A snake doesn't rush. Pray, seek God's direction, and plan wisely before acting.
*Be transformed – Just as a snake sheds its skin, we are called to leave behind the old and grow into the new life God has given us.
*Walk in discipline – Wisdom is seen in self-control and consistent obedience to God.
*Guard your weaknesses – Not every struggle needs a public audience. Be discerning, because the world can exploit what is left unguarded.

May we continue to grow in the wisdom Christ taught—wise as serpents and innocent as doves—as we live for His glory every day

Let Everything Praise

Drums. Guitars. Keyboards. Voices lifted. Etc.
But above all, hearts surrendered.

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
Psalm 150:6

This is what praise looks like at The Community Church.

Loyalty That Honours God

Loyalty isn’t loud. It’s showing up. It’s serving. It’s staying.

The Community Church, thank you for your faithfulness. We thank God for you. Our prayer is that He grows you in spirit and blesses every part of your life.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good.”
Galatians 6:9

TESTIMONY CAN STRENGTHEN SOMEONE’S FAITH🙏🏽

When we testify about what God has done, we are not simply telling our story — we are pointing people back to the faithfulness of God.*

At The Community Church, we were encouraged by powerful testimonies from those who shared how God has been working in their lives. Through every story, we were reminded that God hears, God sustains, and God remains faithful through every season.

Your testimony could be the reminder someone needs to keep praying.
It could give hope to someone who is waiting.
It could encourage someone who feels like giving up.

📖“Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.” — Psalm 66:16

What God has done in your life may become a testimony that strengthens someone else's faith. So when God brings you through, give Him the glory and tell the story.

NOURISHED BY THE WORD | TRANSFORMED BY TRUTH

There is something powerful about gathering together as the body of Christ, opening our hearts, and allowing God’s Word to speak to us.

At The Community Church, we were blessed by the teaching of Bishop Chaurura through the message “Kuchayedza,” reminding us that life comes with different seasons. There will be moments of joy and moments of difficulty, seasons of clarity and seasons where faith requires us to trust God while we wait.

But whatever season we find ourselves in, God’s Word remains our foundation. We are called not only to hear it, but to believe it, obey it, and allow it to shape the way we live.

📖“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” — James 1:22

May what we received go beyond the church service and become evident in our faith, decisions, character, and daily walk with God.

We heard the Word. We received the Word. Now let us live the Word.🙏🏽

KUCHAYEDZA | TRUST GOD THROUGH EVERY SEASON

From the very beginning, God established a pattern of time and seasons. In Genesis 1, there was darkness over the face of the deep, and then God spoke: “Let there be light.” (Genesis 1:2–3)

Life can be like that too. There are seasons when everything seems bright, and there are seasons when we walk through uncertainty, pain, waiting, or difficulty. But both light and darkness are part of the journey.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”

The important thing is not only how we respond when life is good, but whether we continue to trust and love God when the season becomes difficult.

God is still faithful when you are celebrating.
God is still faithful when you are waiting.
God is still faithful when you understand.
And God is still faithful when you don't understand.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

As Bishop Chaurura teaches in Kuchayedza, don't let a dark season make you forget the God who was with you in the light. Seasons change, circumstances change, but God remains faithful.

Keep loving Him. Keep trusting Him. Keep walking with Him. Your current season is not the end of your story.🙏🏽
