Just a few weeks left to apply for this support

The Household Support Fund is a Government Fund to support those who are struggling financially as the country recovers from the coronavirus pandemic. The fund is for residents of all ages - not only older people.

There are only a few weeks left to apply. We particularly want to support Solihull residents in fuel and/or water debt to reduce those arrears before the cost of energy increases in April.

If you are in debt with your energy or water company or need help with items such as a bed for a child, or a food voucher please contact us as soon as possible.

Email [email protected] or telephone 0121 704 8080.

Please note that the scheme closes on 31 March 2022 or when the funding runs out - whichever is sooner.

Solihull bus operator Landflight warns services could be pulled due to fuel problems.

The company does not have it's own fuel supply and relies on several Esso and BP stations which now apparently have £50 maximum diesel limits, meaning the A3, A3W, A4, A5, A7, A8, A10 and A12 services could soon be stopped if the limits are not changed or the panic buying does not subside
