Bosses at a Shropshire fertiliser producer welcomed Helen Morgan MP to see first-hand how a local company is pioneering a circular, sustainable future for farming with a globally significant technology.

The North Shropshire MP visited Lohas Fertiliser in Oswestry where she was welcomed by co-founders Carlos Kao and Lian Lin, who shared the company’s journey from their initial £1 million investment to becoming a recognised leader in sustainable agri-tech.

Yusen Logistics UK charging forward with Nissan

Back in 2022, the idea was formed to establish a consortium focused on exploring ways to reduce CO₂ emissions within the logistics sector.

Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK (NMUK) approached Yusen Logistics to support their vision and join a partnership aimed at transforming the existing logistics solution from internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs).

New head of sales appointment for Northants IT consultancy

In a move to further support its growth plans, Northants IT Consultancy 3RS IT Solutions has appointed Jake Hill as its new head of sales.

The company, led by husband-and-wife team, Steve and Leila Souch, started out from offices in Wellingborough and expanded in 2024 by opening another office in Leicester, alongside an office space in Nottingham. The new hire follows hot on the heels of the appointment earlier this year of Chloe Brabbins as its customer experience relationship manager.

NYK Group’s acquisition of healthcare logistics business of the Walden Group

NYK Group’s subsidiary, Yusen Logistics Global Management Co., Ltd. (“YLGM”) hereby announces that Yusen Logistics (Europe) B.V. (“YLEU”), an overseas subsidiary of Yusen Logistics Group, has committed to acquire the healthcare logistics business of the Walden Group through the acquisition of the entire share capital of Movianto International B.V. (“Movianto”)* by entering into a Put Option Agreement with Walden Group International Holding B.V. (“Walden”).

Further to the completion of the consultation with the relevant works councils on this proposed transaction, which is compulsory under European law, YLEU and Walden will execute a Share Purchase Agreement based on the executed Put Option Agreement. Movianto will become a 100% subsidiary of YLEU post-acquisition subject to regulatory clearances.

East Midlands’ professional services experts take to the padel court to raise nearly £1500 for Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK

More than 40 specialists from the East Midlands finance and professional services sector swapped their laptops and spreadsheets for padel rackets as part of a major Derby fundraiser.

Ashgates, which employs 90 people at its offices in Pride Park, announced the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK (PWSA) as its official charity partner earlier this year and the first event successfully raised nearly £1500.
