♡ Back To It! ♡

Crazy to think that this time last week we were starting the very long journey home from our adventure of a lifetime. 🇦🇺🇸🇬

And yes, it’s taken me a little while to get over the jet lag, tackle the washing mountain and find my way back into some sort of routine!

Almost a week later and I’m finally starting to feel like I’m properly back. Back to the gym (need to work up to Pilates!) back at my desk, back to planning and getting some structure into my days again.

I still have so much of Australia and Singapore to share with you; more postcards, our itineraries, the Great Barrier Reef and Australia Zoo are all coming. I’m definitely not ready to leave Singapore and Australia behind just yet!

But I’m also really excited to get cracking on everything I have planned for Woman on a Mission this autumn and winter.

More midlife wellbeing, fitness, realistic routines, organisation, home, style and plenty of the everyday life in between.

It feels good to be home. And it feels really good to be getting back to it. ♡

What are you looking forward to this autumn?

Love C ♡ xx

P.S. I’m definitely feeling the return to the gym this week, I’m aching in places I’d forgotten could ache! 😂 But it’s all good. And thank you for all the love on my stories whilst I’ve been away and since I’ve been home. It’s been so lovely 🤍

♡ Postcards From Sydney ♡

Sydney, you were incredible What an amazing few days.

Ferries across the harbour, Manly Beach, that sunset coming back into the city, wandering through the Botanic Garden, the Opera House from just about every angle… and sunrise kayaking, Bondi and so much more.

We packed a lot in, but also had time to slow down, sit with a glass of w**e and just take it all in.

I absolutely loved Sydney. 🤍

I’ll share exactly what we did, where we stayed and our three-day itinerary when I’m home.

Have you been to Sydney? What would be the one thing you’d tell someone not to miss?

Next stop… the Great Barrier Reef. 🐠
Follow along on stories if you’d like to see more.

♡ Let’s Talk Lashes ♡

AD | Gifted If you’d told me I’d become a bonded-lash convert, I honestly wouldn’t have believed you.

I’ve always felt a little nervous about lashes and particularly putting them on myself. I assumed they’d be fiddly, difficult to get right and probably just not for me.

Turns out, I was completely wrong.

These are the Wing Xtend lashes from and what first appealed to me was just how simple they make the whole process. I used all three lash sections to create this look and I love the extra definition they give.

Once they’re on, they last me four or five days, which means no mascara before the gym or Pilates, one less thing to contend with during hay-fever season and as I’m discovering now, they’re proving rather brilliant for travelling too.

I just love the little bit of extra definition they give me without feeling overly made-up and anything that makes getting ready that bit easier is a winner with me.

I genuinely never expected to say that about bonded lashes! Thank you for converting me.

Have you tried bonded lashes or, like me, did you assume they simply weren’t for you?

♡ Afternoon Tea At The ♡

If you’re looking for a really lovely way to spend an afternoon or somewhere to make an occasion feel that little bit more special, this was rather gorgeous. 🤍

We spent the afternoon at Cromlix, just outside Dunblane, enjoying afternoon tea and a glass of ch*****ne before beginning our journey back home to Devon the following day.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the setting is gorgeous and it was one of those afternoons where it was just lovely to sit, chat and enjoy being there.

For us, it was also a chance to celebrate Em completing her Masters and mark the end of her year in Scotland. Just the two of us, having some very special mum and daughter time before loading the car for the long journey south.

A lovely experience, a beautiful setting and definitely one to remember for a special occasion. 🥂🤍

If you’ve not been, this is definitely one to add to your list. Where’s your favourite place for Afternoon Tea?

♡ More Colour In My Daily Hydration ♡

AD | I’ve been part of the family for a long time, so I was really happy when they introduced Electrolytes to the range and of course, very happy to add them to my routine.

Four flavours to choose from, individually portioned sachets and so easy to use, particularly around training, busy days and travelling.

I’m a big believer that looking after ourselves doesn’t need to be complicated. It’s often the small, consistent things we do every day that make the difference and staying properly hydrated is definitely one of mine.

Which flavour would you reach for first?
Orange, Raspberry, Tropical or Lemon and Lime? 🧡❤️💛💚

If you’d like to try them, you can use my code WOMANONAMISSION1 for 15% off any items sitewide.

♡ A little skincare treat and one I can completely understand the love for. ♡

AD | Following my online consultation with , a HydraFacial was one of the treatments recommended for my skin, so I was really looking forward this.

What I particularly loved was how personalised the whole experience felt. After cleansing my skin, Charlotte took detailed images which allowed us to look more closely at hydration, pigmentation and signs of sun and environmental damage. Fascinating to see, reassuring in parts and really helpful in understanding what my skin actually needed.

The HydraFacial itself combines deep cleansing, exfoliation and extraction with lots of hydration and nourishing serums tailored to your skin. And for something doing quite so much, it was incredibly relaxing. I completely switched off.

Charlotte also explained that while you can enjoy a HydraFacial at any time, they’re a lovely treatment to have before a holiday, wedding or special occasion when you want that fresh, hydrated glow, although I’m firmly of the opinion that we don’t always need an occasion to do something lovely for ourselves.

And that glow afterwards… I honestly couldn’t believe it. ✨

Thank you Charlotte and the team at for looking after me so beautifully. Such a special treat and I already know I’ll be back.

I’d love to know your favourite skincare treats.

This treatment was gifted as part of my ongoing collaboration with Enhance Plymouth.

♡ A Couple Of Days On The Road ♡

I left Devon yesterday morning with Scotland as the destination, but the journey has been just as important.
There have been coffee stops, a beautiful overnight stay and two really lovely catch-ups with friends I don’t get to see nearly often enough.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with Helen Helen Pexton and it’s been so lovely to see so many new faces here since then. If you’ve recently found me... you’re very welcome here. 🤍

Today I’ve made it to Scotland to collect my girl after she finished her Masters. We have a fun day planned together tomorrow before beginning the long drive back home to Devon together.

Sometimes life is busy and not everything gets shared in real time. But these last couple of days have been full of the things that matter most... good conversations, old friendships, long drives and one very proud mumma.

How is your week going?
Love C ♡ x x

P.S. A few of you have already asked about the trousers I wore for the journey. They’re from The White Company and they’re one of my favourite travel finds. Smart enough to wear all day, but so comfortable for hours in the car. I’ve added them to my links in bio if you’re looking for a good travelling outfit.

♡ Thank You July ♡

A month that somehow felt both hectic, wholesome and slightly fragmented.
There was Edinburgh, moving our youngest out of Uni digs, BST Hyde Park Duran Duran, trialling a new gym, Reformer Pilates and strength training, the heatwave, so much sport with the commonwealthgames2026 Wimbledon and not nearly enough beach time. My daily habits still continue though 👌🏻

There was plenty happening away from the grid too. I finally finished the updates to my website, spent lots of time creating content, worked through some decisions about the direction of Woman on a Mission and started properly preparing for our trip.

One of the highlights was a beautiful photoshoot with Jasmine Pillar Photography You may have noticed some of those new photographs starting to appear on my grid already... with plenty more still to come. 🤍

Not everything made it onto Instagram at the time. July was productive but also occasionally it felt like one long attempt to catch up with myself.

Looking back through these little snapshots, it’s no wonder this year feels like it’s flying by. I’ve realised recently that we don’t have to share everything in real time.
Sometimes the best moments are the ones we’re busy living.

Now we’re into August, with a family adventure getting very close indeed and I’m looking forward to everything that’s ahead.
But I’m also determined not to rush through this month either. Pre season swimming and a new Uni year will soon be upon us (shhhhh!)

Here’s to making memories... and sharing them when the time feels right. 🤍
What was the highlight of your month?

♡ Happy Friday. ♡

I wasn’t planning to stop this morning.

I’d finished training and was driving home when the light caught my eye, so I pulled over for five quiet minutes.

Just birdsong, a deep breath and remembering to think about the 5 things I’m grateful for.

As I sat there, I found myself thinking how quickly we’re all encouraged to move on.

The schools have only just broken up, yet my social feeds are already full of autumn, Halloween and even Christmas.

I get it… but I’m not quite ready.

This summer has been a good one and I don’t want to rush through it just because the calendar keeps turning.

Yes, we’ve got exciting things ahead. In two weeks we’ll be heading off on our family adventure to Australia and I can’t wait.

But today I’m choosing to stay here a little longer.

It doesn’t really matter where you stop.

It might be your favourite bench.

It might be in the middle of a country lane.

Or it might simply be pulling over for five quiet minutes because the sunlight is just stunning.

Some moments don’t need to be hurried.

Sometimes they’re worth stopping for.

I’d love to know…

Where’s your favourite place to pause for five minutes? 🤍
