can't quite believe it but that's me away to do a gig in a different country ahaha 🇵🇱 wish me luck !

i grew up in an isolated highland community called fort william. i could write for hours about what it was like to grow up there but alas i will summarise with - it's a funny wee town.

pretty mad that as someone from there, i'm now away to do an international gig, alongside a Radio 1 DJ, like seriously, who would have thought it, lol.

international debut : )))

i'm off to wroclaw, poland next week to DJ the opening night of - at a party called Creatures of the Night, showcasing UK club culture

it's so sick that an avant-garde film festival in poland is showcasing the underground scene over here, and i'm so buzzing to be involved

as always, thank you to everyone who continues to support and help and make stuff like this happen. it means the world

friday on Maddie's stage was a great start to the weekend and then b2b with pal closing Sheiling after some legends of the game on the Saturday

on my fave soundsystem as well !! 💜
I had a very fun set on that stage last year so was extra fun to be back.

five year anniversary of my first ever DJ gig what tha hell !

I was playing Corsica Studios this weekend and it fell on almost the exact same date as that first Polka Dot Disco Club gig in Dundee Union back in 2020 , which is a really gorgeous coincidence

i've been gigging, doing events and tutoring full time for a bit over a year now and tbh, the freelance music industry life is absolutely no joke. but thankfully I have a lot of very supportive people around me keeping me (just about) sane lol , love to you all

HOWEVER

humanity is looking a bit doomed at the minute so I do want to take a minute to extract myself from the self-congratulatory behaviour that this app rewards. Lol.

we need community more than ever and we need to chill out with individualism.
look after each other, put your ego to one side and actually consider the other side of the story. You and your worst enemy have more in common than you think. these attitudes are what breed meaningful collaboration, discussion and change.
we cannot fight hate with hate !

people pay lip service to this idea of community but when it comes to actually showing up or sacrificing something for the greater good , we falter . we are one giant organism , being selfish is unsustainable.
young people right now are so focused on being in their own 'growth and healing era' that they forget we should ALL be growing and healing, as one . Not just you by yourself!

thank u for all the gigs these past five years, many many more to come I hope. 💟💟
