A long drive to work can be a nightmare for many, but when you're heading up to the highlands of Scotland, it isn't so bad. Along my journey, I saw Pictish stones, medieval monasteries, magnificent mountains, a rainbow over Loch Ness and even a mermaid with her chest hingin' oot.
What a wonderful wee country we have. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Shooting some behind the scene videos (which I love being a bit of a techie geek).

This camera rig may look a bit over the top but it makes my job a lot easier. ✔️

The monitor is handy see what I’m doing due to its size and sun shade. 👀☀️

The top handle makes it it easy to… handle. 👋

The big battery at the back saves changing out umteen batteries. 🔋

The wireless mic receiver is a life saver for effortlessly recording audio. 🔈

Headphones let me hear what’s being recorded. 🎧

Last but not least, the cage that surrounds the camera allows me to add all these gadgets. 🎥

Now I just need an umbrella attachment as I think it might rain! 🫣☔️

In recent years, I have shot fewer weddings and posted even fewer photos. I thought I would change that with a wedding I shot at Cormiston Farm, near Biggar. Imogan & Alex's wedding was something else. Hopefully, my photos did their big day justice.🤞

PS. This last photo features a shot I took of them as guests at a friend's wedding. Soon after, they decided to book me.👌

Misty morning at the Old Bowling Harbour 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Despite already being a special location, the spooky conditions make it even better. According to the research I've done, one of the shipwrecks is a Victorian-era boat that was used to dredge the River Clyde. On the river bed, men used hammers and chisels to clear the rock so that ships could be built and maintained along the shore of the river. Around 30,000 ships were built in the area during its peak, accounting for about 20% of global shipping at its peak. Unfortunately, much of the location is crumbling, so it is worth visiting if you have not already. You won't regret it.
