Twisted Scots Care Home Worker Jailed for Sexually Abusing Elderly Residents

Penilee, Glasgow — David Hillhouse, a care home worker from Penilee, Glasgow, has been sentenced to prison after being found guilty of sexually abusing elderly residents, including OAPs as old as 90.

The court heard how Hillhouse exploited his position of trust to prey on vulnerable residents in the care home, causing lasting trauma to some of the most defenseless members of the community.

Authorities and victim support groups have condemned the abuse, emphasizing the urgent need for stricter safeguarding measures in care homes to protect elderly individuals from such violations.

Hillhouse’s sentencing sends a strong message that abuse in care settings will not be tolerated and that justice will be served for victims, no matter their age.

🕊️ In Loving Memory of Norma – Everyone’s Favorite Internet Nan 🕊️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of our beloved Norma, affectionately known to many as "everyone’s favorite internet Nan." Norma passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Over the years, Norma brought joy, laughter, and warmth to so many through her candid wit, her incredible spirit, and the unwavering love she showed not only to her family but to everyone who followed her journey online. She became a cherished figure — a reminder of kindness, humor, and wisdom in a fast-moving world.

Our deepest condolences go out to Jess, Jake, Kate, Kaden, and all of Norma’s family during this profoundly difficult time. May you find comfort in the beautiful memories and the immense love Norma inspired in so many hearts around the world.

Rest peacefully, Norma. You were truly one of a kind, and you will be so dearly missed. 💐💔

We want you all to know that Nan fell to sleep peacefully, surrounded by all her family, she was full of love and had the most beautiful care. If anyone deserves a place in heaven, it’s you Nanny Norma. Social media and our community online made Nan’s last years so incredibly special, her cup was full and in her own words she “lived such a wonderful life”. 91 years was never going to be enough and she has left the biggest hole in all of our hearts. Reunited with her husband and family, until we meet again, our queen 💔
