Awori Cultural Festival 2025, 2nd Edition held on Saturday, 6th December, 2027.

The Awori Cultural Festival 2025, 2nd Edition brought together Awori sons and daughters from home and abroad to celebrate their rich heritage, unity, and enduring traditions. The colourful event was graced by distinguished personalities from across Ogun and Lagos States, underscoring the cultural and social importance of the occasion.

Rt. Hon. Olusegun Bolanle Gbeleyi (OBG) made a majestic entrance at the festival ground at Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, reflecting his deep cultural roots, discipline, and respect for tradition. He was warmly received with overwhelming love and admiration by people across all the towns and locations he visited during the celebration.

A leader who needs no introduction, OBG is widely known and respected among the Awori people. He was received by Awori monarchs with honour and recognition, having served as a member of the Central Planning committee for the Awori Cultural Festival 2025, 2nd Edition, where he delivered excellently and contributed meaningfully to the success of the event.

The festival clearly demonstrated the unity, strength, and readiness of the Awori people in Ogun West as they openly showed their support for the senatorial ambition of Otunba Olusegun Bolanle Gbeleyi.

*OBG, PROMINENT AWORI OBAs, INDEGINES PROMOTE AWORI CULTURE AND HERITAGE IN LONDON*

The Arole Otunba of Igbesa and Deputy Speaker OGHA (1999-2003), Rt. Hon. Olusegun Bolanle Gbeleyi, OBG on Saturday, 6th September, 2025 joined illustrious sons and daughters of Awori to celebrate the rich culture of Awori in London.

The event, which was put together by the Coalition of Aworis and Descendants in Diaspora (CANDID), took place at THE EVE, Camrose Ave, London HA8 6AC, United Kingdom

The London 2025 Awori Week with the theme: "Promoting Awori Culture and Heritage" featured prominent Awori personalities in diaspora as they used the avenue to reconnect, to network, exchange pleasantries, showcase cultural values of Awori and to raise funds for critical humanitarian projects in Awori communities.

The event provided opportunity for guests to "socialise and network with Awori Obas and traditional chiefs as well as technocrats and business/community leaders of Awori origin in the diaspora".

Since inception CANDID has been engaging in various community and humanitarian initiatives such as Medical, Vocational Educational, Scholarships , Food Palliative and distribution of Educational materials for the need of disadvantaged families and less privileged youths of Awori in Nigeria and diaspora

The 4-day event featured among others: Community Service Projects, Leadership Summit, Banquet/Kitigbe Night, London Excursion and Biennial General Meeting.
