😀 This lady came to see me with a Gift Voucher that her husband had bought her first Christmas (at her request I might add)

🤷‍♀️She had been doing the same make-up since she was young which was using black eyeshadow and black eyeliner in a very heavily but wanted to find out other ways to do it in a way that suits her as she is getting older.

👁 We still used the black eyeliner but on the outside of her lash line rather than inside so that it opened her eyes more.

👀 We used a grey eyeshadow and only a black one on the outer edge to give her eyes more shape and help them to look bigger.

💜 I also showed her how to do her eyebrows which were barely there after plucking them so thin when she was younger and they never grew back - I've met so many ladies over the years who did the same thing so it's very common for mature ladies.

So if you have been doing the same make-up since you were a teenager - maybe it's time for a fresh look

This beautiful lady came for a Make-up Lesson with me, we went step by step covering how to care for her skin too and discussed the type of look she wanted to be able to achieve 🙂

From arriving slightly nervous and wondering what to expect, my lovely lady was beaming by the end and excited to practise what she'd learnt 💜

💜 I loved helping Beth with her transformation (hairstyling and make-up) and I could see how passionate Beth is about her new 'self' when we discussed her outfits and look she wanted to achieve when we had a consultation and on the day of the Brandshoot. You can see the fire 🔥inside in these fabulous photos. ICONIC is the word for such a fabulous lady 😀

I'm in the local Forget-Me-Not Publications magazine 😀💜 🎉Celebrating my 25th Business birthday!🎉

🙏 A big THANK YOU to all my past and present clients who have supported me through these years 💜 especially to the ones who have been with me from the beginning when I was a young mum with 2 little boys age 2 and 5 who are all grown up now!

🤔 I remember putting my first advert in the Yellow Pages - yes when it was a real book!!! and I have been busy ever since. Now I'm grateful for Google where most people find me but....
..💜 the best thing that I'm especially grateful for and what I love best is when previous clients come back to me -
sometimes 2nd time weddings and this year I have some Brides from 15+ years ago asking me to do they daughter's hair and make-up for Prom!!!

It's been a while! Although I have been busy with clients but not on social media much. 😔 Sadly my dear old Dad passed away recently after being ill for some time with kidney failure but we were grateful he got to his 90th Birthday!
At the start of this year and I was busy helping to look after him and my mum as my mum has had some health problems since December too and more since my Dad's passing bless her, it's been a difficult time for our family.

🎉But I do have something to celebrate because I really to prefer to give positive news. I am celebrating 25 years of having my business this month and had a photo shoot to celebrate more photo to follow.

🙂 Just before Christmas on the 23rd December, I had the pleasure of helping these lovely ladies with hair and make-up at Burley Manor in the New Forest - it was perfect weather too!!

🖤 The Bride and Groom had requested a 'black stylish' theme for their wedding.

💜 The special thing was the first lady is a friend and was originally one of my Brides around 15 years ago and this time she was Mother of the Bride 💜

💜 Grandma is also one of my beauty clients and recently had an 80th Birthday, she had the special job of walking her Grandaughter down the aisle!

💜 My 3rd lady is best friends with the Mother of the Bride and had flown from Australia to be there.

Don't they look gorgeous⁉️

My Christmas was busy with ailing parents hence no posts but I hope you had a nice Christmas too.

😲 Wow! You know the saying it comes in threes?......
......As you may have seen, I was being interviewed on a radio show called Wellbeing Wednesday with Sarah Haté at 8pm on Wednesday but three things went wrong!!

🙈 Firstly the link didn't stay attached on my email that I sent out and I forgot to check the link worked (still getting used to emailing links)

🤔 Secondly there was a tech issue with the radio station on Wednesday evening so the programme kept stopping and starting so not very easy to listen to

😔Thirdly all the links I'd shared on Facebook and Instagram didn't work because there was an outage on Meta

So all the forces were against me!!

🙏👌But luckily I have been given the link to the replay (in the comments) which sounds fine thankfully so I wanted to share it with you as I hope what I spoke about will be interesting to many of you and it's a great introduction to Sarah's radio show.

🎄Have you been to a Christmas Party or Christmas meal yet this December.... or have you got more to go to?

👌It is a mini course with loads of great tips and techniques to teach women 40+ how to do it in way that is flattering for them and the best but you do it with me together and you can pause or rewind or re-watch as often as you like because it's yours to keep.

🎄I have a couple of Christmas do's this week and whilst one is in the daytime, the other is an evening meal out so I'll be doing a soft smokey eye look for it as we will be in low lighting and I would like my eyes to stand out more but I do it in a way that doesn't look dark and heavy because that look is not very attractive on most ladies over 40 and being 56 now I want to look 'glam' not 'glum'!! so keeping it soft is the way to go 🙂💜

🤩 I'm going to be a Special Guest on a radio show with the lovely Sarah Haté this Wednesday evening!!!

I met Sarah online in a networking group a couple of years ago and we actually met in person recently, she is as lovely as she sounds on the radio and I've enjoyed listening to quite a few of her radio shows when she started around a year ago so it was a pleasant surprise when Sarah contacted me out of the blue to ask if I'd like to be a guest just before Christmas.
