Formed as a merger of Sonar TV & the Live Events Society in 2022, Sonar Events offers students real-world experience, no matter their level of experience.

Time has passed so quickly since seeing you all at Freshers Fair, and before you know it, we’ll be seeing you all again tomorrow at our first FREE TO ATTEND event that’s part of our Freshers Fortnight plan!

Ah what a great two days this was! It was brilliant to see all the new faces join us here at the university as well as hopefully SonarEVENTS!

We had a great time speaking to you all about what we do and who we are, remember that there are 6 free taster sessions that we are running over our ‘Freshers Fortnight’ event, so make sure to come along to those to try out everything that we offer!

A very exciting announcement!

SonarEVENTS Freshers Fortnight!

Make sure to come along to as many of the events as you want. There’s all sorts to try out for everyone from Camera Operating, to Lighting to even Directing, and it’s free to attend!

Make sure to swipe across to the second photo to see what all of the events are, as well as where they will be. In case you don’t know any of the locations, make sure to give us a follow so we can show you where to find us.

And it’s started! Some members from the Sonar team were very busy yesterday setting up and rigging the equipment that we use for the basketball streams as well as prepping everything ready for freshers week! We even added in some new hoop cams for the basketball setup which will look amazing!

From everyone here at we want to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful members for getting us to triple digits!! The committees from Solent Live Events Society] and SonarTV] spent most of the summer figuring out how this new way of working together would pan out (pun intended) and little did we know our hard work would not only pay off but be a huge success!

Come down to on Tuesday from 8pm to celebrate with us! Followed by Taylor Swift night at popworld! 🥳🥂
