We recently created a set of promotional postcards for Basingstoke Counselling Service.
They wanted to appeal to a younger audience, encouraging them to come to counselling before a crisis point.
Research suggests that 92% of young people feel a stigma reaching out for counselling support and their knowledge of what counselling is, and how it can help, also prevents young people from getting the help they need.
It’s common for young people to just be feeling ‘meh’ with no real crisis point driving them into therapy.
So, with this knowledge, we created a series of postcards that spoke in language that mirrors those feelings of something just being off. No jargon, or fears of being ‘diagnosed’ with something.
The testimonials show the difference it can make and how good it can make you feel.
Going to counselling before a crisis point is an important step in creating healthy communities for the future - armed with resilience and coping mechanisms to deal with life’s challenges.
