We are so happy to announce that The Saint was recognised 5 times at the SPA Awards in Exeter, securing 5 ‘Highly Commended’ titles!

These awards conclude a prosperous awards season for The Saint. From being dubbed the Best Publication in Scotland, securing 16 National Nominations, and now accepting these awards, we are immensely grateful to the SPA for this recognition.

These awards are a credit to our wonderful staff, who are unwaveringly dedicated to independent journalism in St Andrews. Without their stellar work, there would be no awards.

We are so happy to announce that The Saint has been shortlisted for a record 16 SPA National Awards.

These nominations are truly a credit to our incredibly talented team, and their unwavering dedication to independent journalism in St Andrews.

The SPA National Conference takes place from 4-6 April, with the awards ceremony taking place on 5 April. Stay tuned to find out our final placements.

We are so honoured to announce that The Saint was awarded Best Publication and Best Digital at the Student Publication Association Regional Awards for Scotland.

From running a fundraiser in March to keep our publication afloat to now being dubbed the best in Scotland, we are truly overwhelmed and immensely grateful that the SPA has recognised our continued efforts to provide high-quality journalism to the St Andrews community.

These awards are a testament to our hardworking, driven, and dedicated staff who continue to amaze us every issue. We would, however, like to give a special thank you to our wonderful Deputy Editors-in-Chief Hannah and Ilaria, and Business Manager Pietro with whom these awards would not be possible.

We are also thrilled that our Photo Editor Alden Arnold was awarded Best Photographer. Alden joined The Saint in 2023 and in this time has displayed a keen eye for showcasing the idiosyncrasies of life in St Andrews. He is truly a credit to the field of photo journalism.

We are incredibly excited to see what the forthcoming semester brings for The Saint and look forward to continue working with a group of talented individuals.
