Breaking News
News has reached The Riverporter, too late to include in this, the last edition for 2025. We understand that Matthew Price, former Town Clerk at St Ives, who was dismissed from that role in November 2023, has resigned from his latest position. Mr Price was appointed as Clerk to Kings Langley Council in early 2024 and has recently resigned following concerns about details of his appointment.

Big Thank you !.... St Ives Town Team, organisers of the 600 Anniversary, would like to thank all those people and organisations that helped to provide a wonderful series of activities to celebrate the 600 years that our unique bridge has been in existence.

Once again St Ives has shown a great community spirit with so many people prepared to volunteer help and we must mention the amazing support given by Mick Jones of Jones Boatyard and Kevin Page of K A Page Groundworks. Without their help the event could not have happened. We would also like to thank St Ives Town Council and Huntingdonshire District Council for their support and the staff at One Leisure Outdoor complex for hosting the troops.

The Team would be pleased to know of any good footage or pictures people have, so we can compile a full record of the weekend (to contact us see email below).

Finally, raffle tickets are still available from The Oliver Cromwell and St Ives Electric Riverboat Company (we will advise the date for the draw to take place shortly). Also available are the popular 600 T-shirts. To order yours email [email protected] , giving sizes, phone number and an address for delivery.
