The Ancient One is a radio show that had its origins in 2009 at a local radio station (Cuillin FM) Information and items relating to Progressive music

The Ancient One Archive Show No 99 will be broadcast on Progzilla Radio at midday UK (12:00-15:00) on Saturday 14th March. This was initially broadcast in Jan 2019 and is The Best of 2018 Tall Tales. This means all the tracks are long ones.
Music is from The Windmill, Damanek, Malady, Sunchild_AKP, RING VAN MÖBIUS, Yuka and Chronoship and The Tangent.

In Edinburgh and picked up the 2 albums shown below from Avalanche Records. What a superb shop...and it has pre-loved vinyl which will require several visits to properly go through.
OK, Ralf and Florian is a new re-issue ( had the original a long time ago) and Gerry Rafferty is also new, (2 albums and coloured).

Tonight (Tuesday 3rd March) at 21:00 UK on Progzilla Radio, hear the latest show from The Ancient One. This is Show No 285 which is a Mixed Bag selection of artists but also highlights a particular band/artist and features tracks from an album in their back catalogue scattered through the 3 hour show.
Music this evening comes from UK, Norway, Netherlands, Finland, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, with one band being classed as multinational.
The featured band is Pink Floyd, and some others this evening include Magic Pie, Corvus Stone, RPWL, PFM Premiata Forneria Marconi and many more.

Today at 12:00 UK, there will be a chance to catch an Archive show from The Ancient One on Progzilla Radio. This is Archive Show No 95 and was first broadcast in November 2018. This is a Mixed Bag show which features the Norwegian band, The Windmill.
Hear music from IQ, Unreal City,The Windmill, Squackett, Dawn, Tiger Moth Tales, Argos, Alwanzatar, Encircled, Sunchild and D'Accord.
We visit UK, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Germany and Ukraine.

The Ancient One has an archive Show going out at midday (UK) on Sat 19th July (that's TODAY!) on www.progzilla.com this show was originally broadcast in April 2018 and is a Mixed Bag Show, featuring Samurai of Prog. ( Also inc Believe, Pete Sinfield, Rocket Scientists, Magenta, Ring Van Mobius and more.

The Ancient One Show this week is a new show as the builders have nearly finished and I am continuing to feel better after my surgery. I can now get back into Eyrie Studio,

The show is " 50 Years between Epics". There are 8 tracks, 4 classic epic oldies and 4 epic newies (in my opinion). First up is a track from 1971 then we fast forward to an epic from 2021. Back in time to 1972 and forward to 2022 and so on.
