Over the past five years there has been a lot of work taking place to develop a plan to replace the old ford at the bottom end of the caravan park. The river running through the park is classed as a river of importance as it is one of the very few left that still have migrating salmon.
Replacing the old ford will also improve the river ecosystem for other wildlife, we have lots of birds, bugs and fauna around the river which will benefit from the improvement in the water flow that the fish pass will bring. There have also been sitings of otters!
Flood prevention will massively be improved also which will benefit the whole river catchment area.
Working with North York Moors National Park, Environment Agency, and the Rivers Authority the work has now started.
Wilf Noble who are absolutely amazing are working so hard to get this finished with as little disruption as possible.
This will bring a huge improvement to the caravan park not just for the business but for our lovely owners also.
Thank you for your patience while the work takes place, anyone who would like information on our site, caravan sales, lodge sales or holidays please get in touch.
