I may have told some of you nice people here and there that I have been kind of forced to find myself a new name/title for my solo music gigs recordings ect , this started at first when out touring support slots and occasionally some people were expecting Steve Wilson from Porcupine Tree to be at the show and made it clear they were in happy with the disappointment of myself ,so I put jur on the end of my name ( as I am in fact Jnr , dad was Snr ) , that went well for a period until a country artist called Stephen Wilson Jnr seems to have incredibly popular in the US and now in the UK causing me the same problem with the added caveat that any time I release something into the world the algorithms of thinks my material his his a causes more confusion than I can be bothered with .
So enter Captain Nobody , why Captain Nobody? I told my mate Pete Wylie a funny story from my distant past about a skinny dipping incident and a taxi , upon telling him I became known as Captain Nemo he renamed me Captain Nobody for the rest of the tour ...
So from the foreseeable any new solo releases shall come out under that moniker, plus my two previous albums will be uploaded in the next few weeks onto all platforms under Captain Nobody.
Plus excitingly I am starting to record a new album with some pretty special guests and some great new tracks I have been kicking around for a while now
