Murder on the Orient Express… in the Lake District?

This Friday, I’m taking a look around Bassenthwaite Lake Station – now a café, but once the filming location and train set used for Kenneth Branagh’s 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.

From the locomotive itself to the station setting, it’s a fascinating place with an unexpected connection to one of Agatha Christie’s most famous stories.

A short five-minute film, exploring an unusual corner of the Lake District and a little piece of movie history - not to mention, a cracking cafe! Bassenthwaite Lake Station
