We are seeking a reliable individual to join our team for 2 days per month to help with newspaper deliveries to our team of volunteers.

Anyone interested must be:

- able to lift and carry individual bundles of newspapers a short distance
- reliable and a good communicator

The role will be paid at an hourly rate and will follow the process and timings Amanda & Mel completed this month:
- Thursday morning: collect supplies of Stockport Post, Manchester Post, and Trafford Post (just those for volunteers) from the printer just off the M60 in Oldham (1 hour round trip)
- Thursday (6 hours): deliver supplies of the relevant Post newspaper to all volunteers across Stockport following the mapped out route provided
- Friday (3 hours): deliver supplies of the relevant Post newspaper to all volunteers across South Manchester following the mapped out route provided
- Friday (2-3 hour): deliver supplies of the relevant Post newspaper to all volunteers across Trafford following the mapped out route provided

Total hours at the beginning of each month: 12-13 hours with potential to increase hours & days as we develop new area Post newspapers.

Anyone interested - we are looking for someone who can commit to the first Thursday and the Friday after every month, and who would be able to start from December or January. If we arrange the hire of a van, this will need to be collected late Wednesday afternoon from the hire office and returned by the same time late Friday afternoon.

Crunch

Crunchy
Leaves crunch under
My feet as I walk down
The autumn-filled
Street - crunch!

And I'm back! You can once again find me in Post Community News, with my poem Crunch!

Usually, I'd mention about somewhere you can pick up a copy of Trafford Post. However, that's not possible this month. Due to a lack of funding from the Trafford area, they've been unable to print this month's edition. So, make sure to head over and support them as much as you can!

🗞️ We’ve made it into the newspaper this month! 🎉

Did you know there are around 38,000 carers in Manchester? Carers are people who look after a relative, partner, or friend due to their physical or mental illness, disability, frailty, or addiction. Lots of people don’t realise they count as a carer; they just see themselves as someone’s partner, parent, son, daughter, or friend. You might be a carer yourself and not realise it!

Carers in Manchester – know your rights, use your rights!
