DON'T MISS OUT! †
What Have I Done? An evening with Ben Elton in conversation with Nihal Arthanayake

📍The Forum Theatre Romiley
Stockport, SK6 4EA
Wed 15th October 2025 7:30PM

Join us for a very special evening with Ben Elton in conversation with Nihal Arthanayake as he discusses his one-of-a-kind (and one volume only) autobiography.

What Has Ben Elton Done...?
For the first - and only - time, Ben tackles this question head on in his frank, forthright and hilarious memoir.

Taking a deep dive into his life and times - both private and public - to reveal the true stories behind iconic hits like The Young Ones, Blackadder and We Will Rock You; his pioneering routines hosting Saturday Live, which birthed a revolution in stand-up comedy; and so much more. After living sixty five years on the planet, forty-five of them in public, tickling many funny bones and getting on a respectable number of wicks, Ben has a lot of stories to tell, and he tells them unvarnished and uncensored - because that's who he is.

TOM STONEM RETURNS NOVEMBER

About the book:

The surprise under the tree is… a body.

In the dead of winter, the Pennine Way is treacherous. As snowstorms hit, hikers have been told to stay away. But not everyone has heeded the warning: a lone walker finds a parcel in the snow, addressed to her. But there’s no festive treat inside. Instead? A severed limb.

DI Tom Stonem is called in to investigate as more gruesome packages appear under the trees. Each is wrapped like a Christmas present, with tags addressed to local residents. Are the intended recipients of these sinister gifts involved in the bloodshed? Or victims of a killer’s cruel game?

As Stonem unwraps the case, the secrets of the forest get ever darker. As December ticks down, it looks like this Christmas, murder is the gift that keeps on giving…

The team at Serenity spent the afternoon with the wonderful Nadia Shireen as she delighted and entertained nearly 400 local school children.

Nadia took us on a journey through the whacky world of Grimwood, taught us how to draw Eric Dynamite, and even had the crazy crow, Sharon judge a teacher’s dance-off!

Then she came back to the shop to meet a bunch of fans and sign more books. A magical afternoon, thank you, Nadia!
