BTS A U G U S T: I've loved the sunshine this month. I have spent loads of time outdoors and it is absolutely bang on what I needed. During Latitude, I went to Charlie Mackesy's talk and sat at the back and had a little blub (in English that means cry just incase you weren't following). Later today, I am going to turn off our Bosky shop and Amazon listings. Unfortunately, I haven't built up sales enough over the last few years to keep me able to cover the monthly costs. The numbers just don't work. It feels strange stopping when all my former teacher colleagues are gearing up to starting a new academic year! But I feel it in my bones - it is time to call it.

There are lots of things that have worked - I have been so grateful to work with Emma, Marion, Emily, Leyla, Hannah, Becky, Simon, Hattie, Lindsay, Chris, Jo and Ellie. They are absolutely bl**dy amazing humans and they create wonderful things. I have found absolutely exemplary UK printers - flipping heck, get those delivery miles down and send your printing local (and get your FSC certification). And I have had lots of little chats that I am very grateful for with book event people and booksellers - thank you whether or not you tried my books!

I would also like to thank my family and friends (you know who you are) for their unwavering support and kindness to me when I have been trying to nudge my way into a new space. Thanks to James for publishing chats/coffees; to Goodness Marketing and the Do Crew (especially Karen and Sara) for the solidarity and the new skills and ideas, to Maria at Stockport Libraries; and to Found in Stockport for walks - making space for thinking and chatting with other humans is the thing AI can't give you. And thank you to every single parent or person who has bought a book - I literally wouldn't have made it to making 7 books and 1 poster pack without you and it was *always* about producing excellent quality products for children.

Over the next little while I will be working out the details and doing admin.

I wanted to finish with the scavenger hunt this summer to get Emily and Marion's beautiful book further out into the world and to remind myself why I started Bosky. Thank you to all my friends who have hidden book packs.

Well, I was going to post book 5's UK drop off location with these emojis 🌄🏞⛱️ but it has been found pretty much straight away by Vinnie and Reggie in Haverigg in South West Cumbria on eclipse day. S U M M E R S C A V E N G E R H U N T: Happy August! There are FIVE copies of 'Where we live is creative' by and illustrated by around the UK. Bosky is a one-person-band; I spin all the plates! So I asked some friends to take a book pack on holiday with them and to place them for a lucky family to find. I'm *really* hoping that some of those people might tag us on here and say they found a book!!! It's like in the olden days when we released balloons from school to see which one would get the furthest. (Just me?!) Hoping that they brighten up a few people's summer holidays wherever they get to! 👀🌞
