Capturing a little bit of summer!
I find the autumn and winter a challenge when there's less to do in the garden. Those dull days and dark evenings can bring down my mood. so I do activities that bring back a little bit of the summer. Today I'm going to be opening up my flower press. Hopefully I'll have enough flowers to make a picture like this one from a couple of years ago.

A week of flowers. Some real beauties here and a Christmas wreath thrown in for good measure.

And yes, you've guessed it, I still haven't finished planting my bulbs!! Mostly because there are still bargains in the shops which I can't resist so I keep buying more...😉

🎄Home made, garden foraged, festive wreath! I'm really quite pleased with it. Everything sourced from the garden as usual but a few challenges this year as our spruce tree had to be removed a few months back. Greenery is now yew, the spiky stems with berries are cotoneaster, additional bling from viburnum flowers and home grown strawflowers. All on a homegrown grapevine base.
