Here is a 1968 Akai X-1800 Reel to Reel tape deck, is comes complete with on-board 8 track cartridge recorder/player and built in speakers.
I had one of these decks at some point, they are a stunning machine and the 8 track unit is one of the best sounding units you'll find.
The unit is very heavy, comes with hard walnut cover.
It's worth getting one of these units if you are starting out with Reel to Reel units.
In the USA they were released under the Roberts name.
