Had such a lovely day hosting my first Sewing Sewcial - really pleased to say it was a great success!

Everyone got on so well, with lots of chatting, stitching and laughing (plus some homemade cake, which always helps 🍰).

In the end, there was just one space left, and next time’s already looking like it might be fully booked too. I’ve got access to five more tables, which is great - but they’re filling up fast. I’ll keep you updated!

Whether you’re into hand sewing, machine stitching, dressmaking, patchwork, quilting, embroidery, or crafting bags and home décor – if it involves a needle and thread, you’re in! Bring along your current project and your sewing machine (if needed) and enjoy a full day of crafty company and creative inspiration.

I thoroughly enjoyed my appearance on Sewing Street yesterday. It was great to be invited to take part in John's birthday celebrations, thank you so much to everyone who messaged into the studio and sent me personal messages and emails too, they were all greatly appreciated and I'm very much looking forward to sharing some of my own new products on Sewing Street very soon!

In the meantime to whet your appetite I've just this minute pressed the 'publish' button on my latest product launch, it's an exclusive pre-printed fabric wall hanging panel featuring a face you might recognise!

The new 'Great Scott! Birthday Wall Hanging panel’ is available to pre-order on my website now. It's available in two colour ways and printed on a very fine 100% cotton poplin (very much like the beautifully soft and smooth Art Gallery Fabrics, the tight weave and smooth finish of poplin makes it possible to achieve a really high resolution print) it finishes at 18" x 24" and includes co-ordinating fl**ge and binding strips.

Don’t forget as it’s getting close to Christmas the preorders are only open until midnight (GMT) on Sunday 22 November 2020 and will be posted out on Monday 7 December 2020.

I’m going to spend my weekend filming some step-by-step tutorials for those of you who might need a little extra help when making up your kits and also taste testing the complimentary biscuits ... twin packs in five varieties! 🐷 😬 🤣

Who stole November?! I can’t believe where the time has gone, I’m still quilting up a storm in my little studio, on the home stretch to Christmas now - I’m so looking forward to some time off! Sadly there’s still not much that I can show you as most of the quilts are destined to be Christmas gifts, but here’s a recent William Morris finish which I really enjoyed working on, the vibrant autumnal colours are just beautiful. It was perfectly pieced, good and square which made my job so much easier to do. It’s quilted with an E2E design ‘Lazy Paisley’ using ‘Celery’ coloured thread and Hobbs 80/20 wadding, it was hard to hand this one back to it’s maker!
