We had some great weeks in Nottingham and the sunsets in Shardlow were spectacular. Steve enjoyed seeing places he lived and worked again. Now we have planned our winter spot but we still have some time to explore before we go there.

Wast Hill Tunnel, built in the 1790s, At a mile and a half long it’s one of the UKs longest canal tunnels. At a time before engines and with no towpath for a horse, legging the boat through this would have taken three arduous hours!
