Good morning everyone! My mummy told me this morning how much people have donated to my mission so far, she said it feels better than Christmas morning 😮 my mummy will now be able to book me intensive physiotherapy on the mainland and I know this will help me come on leaps and bounds! Thank you so so much 😍

There were also big talks taking place round the kitchen table this morning on ways we are going do some fundraising events…

The darkness and light of the islands…the skyline beside Village Bay on Hirta in March 2005, long before it became an international visitor honeypot – and more prosaically, a rainbow over Plasterfield from the old EVENTS office in Rigs Road in November 2005. 20 years ago…EVENTS was on its second issue, now it's reached issue 236. (The arithmetical among you will quickly see this doesn't add up to 20 x 12…which is because, for many years, there were only 11 issues a year.)

My good pal Andy Yearley and I have started a Western Isles Trad Orchestra! 🥲🎶

It’s been a bit of a bucket list project since the Mòd opening concert in 2016 - getting as many island musicians together as possible in one room, playing local tunes with our own arrangements. It’s flipping lovely!

If you think this is something you’d like to be involved in, send us a message ☺️ Thanks to all 25 of you wonderful musicians who came today (you know who you are!) ❤️
