ACT NOW! - DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING SESSION No3.

As part of our promise to the community to continue to deliver as many defibrillator training sessions as possible, it is with great pleasure that we can now announce our third FREE defibrillator training session which takes place on Monday November 3rd at the Town Council Offices, Greenacre Centre, Stotfold.

The training session will be provided free of charge to all participants and is fully funded by Stotfold Town Council. The event will take place in the evening (time to be confirmed) and is approximately 2 hours in duration.

The past two sessions were both heavily over subscribed - if you are interested in taking part in this one, please do not hesitate and register your interest TODAY. Do not wait to do it nearer to the time as this has lead to disappointment in previous sessions. We are sure you can understand that session numbers are kept to a manageable amount, to ensure everyone gets the full benefit of the training.

The training includes advice and support on how to use the defibrillator equipment, there is also an opportunity to learn how to administer CPR. There is an opportunity to share experiences and discuss different scenarios throughout. Previously these evenings have been very informative and most enjoyable.

To get yourself on the list - please email us on [email protected] - leave a contact number and how many spaces you wish to reserve for the session. We will confirm your attendance by return email.

We look forward to helping to provide the third training session to residents of Stotfold and thank Stotfold Town Council for once again facilitating the session for local residents to attend.

STOTFOLD RESIDENTS BENEFIT FROM HOUSEBUILDER'S COMMUNITY INVESTMENT

Housebuilder Cala Homes has announced its support for the local community around its upcoming developments in Stotfold & Arlesey through its Community Pledge initiative. Cala’s Community Pledge is a key initiative through which the housebuilder is committed to delivering positive, measurable social impact for the local communities in which it builds homes above and beyond any planning obligations. It covers a range of tailored engagement activities such as volunteering, learning programmes, bursaries and donations.

Arlesey and Stotfold schools and community groups are encouraged to apply for funding to address local need through bursaries, grants, and sponsorships, as well as participation in educational activities.

Each Community Pledge includes the following initiatives:
•Land to Life, which educates young people on the build stages of a development
•Stay Safe, Stay Away, which educates young pupils on the safety measures and precautions that need to be taken on building development sites.
•The Urban Wildlife Strategy, a series of measures on each new development to improve biodiversity including bird nesting features, specialist hedgehog fencing, invertebrate bricks, bat boxes or bat roosting features and native tree planting.
•Showhome of Support, which sees the housebuilder work with artisan retailers and independent creators in the area to help accessorise showhomes, giving local independents a platform to showcase their products to potential homebuyers.
•Supporting local charities, schools and organisations in the community of Arlesey and Stotfold through granting bursaries and volunteering time.

Samuel Gardens Arlesey, is due to launch in November this year, while Randall Fields in Stotfold is due to launch in early 2026.

For more information on the Community Pledge and how to apply, visit: https://www.cala.co.uk/sustainability/people-and-communities/community-pledge/nhc-community-pledge/

DO YOU HAVE ANY UNUSED CHILDRENS COATS AT HOME?

Coats 4 Kids is an incredible initiative run by friends of ours who do their best to ensure every child can be warm at winter time.

If you’re able to help, they would be so grateful for donations of preloved, clean, good-quality winter coats for children — all sizes welcome, from babies to teenagers.

Please place your donations in a carrier bag and drop them off at any of our donation points listed below. (A quick note: some venues aren’t always open, so you may need to leave your bag outside.)
Maybe through the thread below a Stotfold pick up point could be arranged to save lots of individual journeys being made to the places below.

Thank you, as always, for your kindness and support. 🙏🏻
