YIPEE!! OUR NAUGHTY ELF HAS A NEW HOME!

We are delighted that we’ve finally managed to re-home our naughty elf!!

Elijah correctly guessed the name of our elf this year as Pomp Pip! - We hope Pomp Pip behaves better for you Elijah than he did for us!

Thank you to everyone that came along to our stand yesterday afternoon & took part!

SANTA IS COMING TO STOTFOLD......

With huge thanks to the guys at Saunders Garage and J Ryall Building Supplies Ltd , Stotfold will be welcoming an extra special visitor to the town on THURSDAY 18th DECEMBER!

Santa will be visiting Stotfold on his sleigh, starting at Astwick Road and making his way around the town, ending at Baldock Road. (full details of the route can be found on the advert!)

A charity collection will take place once again this year so get your spare coins ready!!

STOTFOLD LIGHT SWITCH ON 2025!!

What a fabulous time we’ve had!!

Thank you everyone that came along to see us today at the Stotfold Town Council Light Switch On event 2025.

It is so lovely to see so many familiar faces and to see everyone socialising & enjoying the start of Christmas together as a community.

Huge congratulations to the team at Stotfold Town Council for organising such an incredibly well organised event yet again this year.

Keep an eye on our page for the name of our naughty elf and our lucky winner!! (That’s of the grinch brings him back of course! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

As most of you know, we are big kids at heart! We have lots of goodies on our Christmas Light Switch on stall this year, including a few hundred glow sticks for the children (and big children) to enjoy!

Our naughty elf was last seen trying his hand at decorating our High Street Christmas tree!

We think it’s about time someone else took over looking after him…He’s proving far too naughty for us here at the Stotfold News!!

If you’re planning on coming along to the Christmas Light Switch On event this Saturday, make sure you pop along to our stand in the Indian Lodge car park and take part in our FREE competition to WIN our naughty elf!!!

THE RUN DOWN OF EVENTS FOR TOMORROWS LIGHT SWITCH ON EVENT!!

Here is a final reminder of everything you can look forward to tomorrow at the Stotfold Light Switch on event!!

Pop down between 4pm - 7pm and join in with the festive fun! There’s lots to see & do, alongside the opportunity to flex those vocal cords with the traditional Carol singing and countdown to the switching on of the Christmas lights.

We’ll be there just inside the Indian Lodge car park - why not pop over and say hi!!

We’ll have some goodies to give away, the chance to buy your Stotfold calendars for 2026 and of course, our giant elf competition which is FREE to enter!

DON'T FORGET! THE HIGH STREET WILL BE SHUT ON SATURDAY!

In preparation for this Saturday's Stotfold Town Council Light Switch On event, the High Street in Stotfold will be closed from 12 noon until 9pm.

Important notice - Road Closure, Saturday 29th November 12 noon - 9pm.

As you will now be aware, this Saturday marks the start of the festive season in Stotfold as we celebrate the switching on of the town Christmas Lights.

Due to the festivities taking place along our High Street, roads affected by this closure are shown on the map below.

The closure will take place between the hours of 12 noon and 9pm, those residents directly affected by this have now been notified by letter.

Where possible, we advise residents to leave their vehicles at home and walk to this event.

We hope that you are all able to join us from 4pm on Saturday as we joint together to celebrate the start of the festive season in Stotfold.
