Are you waiting to be happy?

“I’ll be happy when…”

I lose the weight.
I have more money.
I have more time.
Things get easier.
Everyone else is okay.

But hang on…

Why does any of that have to happen first?

You can want things to change and still be happy with what you have today.

You can have problems and still laugh.

You can be tired and still enjoy something.

You can be frustrated with your circumstances without putting your happiness on hold.

Maybe you do not need a better life to be happier.

Maybe you just need to stop making happiness wait.

What are you waiting to happen before you let yourself be happy?

You see a dress in a colour you absolutely love.

“Ooh, I like that.”

Then almost instantly...

“I’ve got nowhere to wear it.”

And you put it back.

But hang on.

There was that show at the theatre you really wanted to see, wasn’t there?

You never got around to booking it.

You could picture yourself sitting there, watching the curtain go up, feeling excited because you’ve actually got somewhere to go.

And that dress?

That would look gorgeous.

You can almost feel it.

Getting dressed up. Putting your shoes on. Doing your hair. Spraying your favourite perfume.

Walking into the theatre feeling fabulous because you’ve given yourself a night to look forward to.

And all because you stopped at that first thought...

and changed it.

Instead of “I’ve got nowhere to wear it.”

“Where could I go?”

Maybe we need to start doing that more often.

Not waiting for life to give us something to look forward to...

but noticing the little nudges that remind us what we already wanted.

I’ve got more to say about this tomorrow.

Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get mentioned enough...

Starting again.

Not because everything has gone wrong but because life changes.

The things that mattered years ago might not be the things that matter now.

And that’s OK.

You’re allowed to change.
You’re allowed to want different things.
You’re allowed to make yourself a priority too.

Sorted & Sassy is about embracing this next chapter and creating a life that feels more like YOU.

If you’re ready to explore that with other women who feel the same, there’s a f.ree community where those conversations are already happening. 🌸

What’s harder: knowing you’ve lost yourself or figuring out who you are again?

26/08/2026

Have you ever looked at your life and thought...

“Something is missing but I’m not quite sure what?”

Not because your life is bad.

Not because you don’t appreciate what you have.

Just because somewhere along the way, a part of you has gone a little quiet.

The things you used to enjoy.
The confidence you used to have.
The excitement about trying something new.

The good news?

You’re never too old to reconnect with yourself.

That’s the heart of Sorted & Sassy.

Helping women create space for themselves, discover what matters now and enjoy this next chapter.

If that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, you can find more support and conversations inside our f.ree club. ❤️

You don’t need to completely reinvent yourself in midlife.

You don’t need to find a whole new version of you.

And you definitely don’t need to have every part of your next chapter figured out straight away.

For years, you may have been focused on everyone else.

Caring. Supporting. Showing up. Doing what needed to be done.

But then life changes and you find yourself asking:

“Who am I now?”

The answer isn’t hidden in adding more to your already busy life.

It’s found in slowing down, listening to yourself and reconnecting with the parts of you that may have been pushed aside.

Your next chapter isn’t about becoming someone different.

It’s about rediscovering the woman who has always been there.

The things you loved.
The dreams you put on hold.
The confidence you thought you’d lost.
The person you are beyond the roles you’ve carried.

Midlife isn’t the end of who you were.

It’s the beginning of discovering who you are now.

What’s one word you want your next chapter to feel like?

If I wanted to feel more confident this weekend, these are the 3 things I’d do…

1. Do one thing you’ve been putting off.

Pick something small that’s been sitting on your mental to-do list and get it done.

That appointment you keep meaning to make. The phone call you’ve been avoiding. The job you keep walking past.

Don’t underestimate how good it feels to finally tick something off.

2. Make one decision without asking everyone else what they think.

Choose the restaurant. Book the day out. Buy the thing you’ve been umming and ahhing about. Decide what you want to do and do it.

You don't need everyone else to agree with your choice.

3. Do something slightly outside your comfort zone.

Nothing terrifying. Just something that makes you think, I don't normally do this.

Go somewhere you've never been. Start a conversation with someone new. Try something you've always said you couldn't do.

Confidence doesn't come from waiting until you feel confident.

It comes from proving to yourself that you can do things you weren't sure you could.

Which one are you going to try this weekend?

A little reminder for today...

You don’t have to completely change your life to feel happier.

Sometimes it’s the small things that bring us back to ourselves.

A walk without rushing.
Doing something creative.
Taking time to look after yourself.
Trying something you’ve always wanted to try.
Making space for the things that make you smile.

So many women spend years being busy and productive that they forget to ask themselves:

“Where do I fit into my own life?”

That’s exactly why Sorted & Sassy was created.

A place for women to reconnect with themselves, rebuild confidence and create a life that feels good again.

If you’d like to be part of those conversations, there’s a free community waiting for you. 🌸

Comment 'YES' below and I'll send you an invitation 😀

Sometimes the hardest part of starting a new chapter isn’t knowing what you want...

It’s remembering who you are.

After years of routines, responsibilities and doing what needs to be done, it can be strange to stop and ask:

“What do I actually want now?”

What makes me happy?
What do I enjoy?
What would I like more of in my life?

That’s something we talk about a lot inside The Sorted and Sassy F.ree Club.

Because rediscovering yourself isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about finding your way back to the woman you’ve always been.

If this sounds like something you’d love to explore more, there’s a free space where women can connect, share ideas and start putting themselves back on their own list. ❤️

It is amazing how much calmer your day feels when you stop expecting yourself to remember everything.

Try choosing one place for all the random things that pop into your head during the day.

🙃Not five notebooks.
🙃Not scraps of paper.
🙃Not notes on your phone and bits in your handbag.

Just one place.

Your brain relaxes because it knows it does not need to keep holding onto everything in case you forget it.

It sounds simple but it makes such a difference.

I share simple practical tips like this inside my free Sorted and Sassy Club to help life feel lighter and more manageable.

Do you already have one place for everything or are your notes everywhere? xx
