Ey up! Got a pedal build available in September before the academic year goes into full gear, been a while hasn't it…..

A notanotadumble anyone? 🤣 Inspired and using similar circuits mostly but with some differences/extra parts.

As separate pedals.
-Clean channel (BBC1 Dumble), £40.
Input and volume controls. It's a clean boost ain't it?

-Overdrive channel (inspired by Dumble Overdrive Special), £80.
Drive, volume, EQ controls along with an attack k**b, 2 way tone switch and clipping mode.

As one pedal.
£120. Bigger case, but it'll have all the functionality of both pedals along with separate foot switches to operate both pedals independently or together.

A couple of boos from this weekend (but also with happy endings!)

While tracking some bass I discovered one of my speaker cabs was on the way out and had started distorting pretty badly on the low end. Peavey haven’t made repair parts for 1505-KADT black widows in a while either and I wasn't keen to be new cab shopping 😕

Then later on, while recording some drums it became apparent one of my favourite mics is emitting noise (a loud wind sound). Double boo 😭 ……

The good news though! After I stopped huffing about them I was able to source another 1505-KADT cab second hand which arrived yesterday! I replaced the basket in my cab (keeping the original driver). All good now!

The mic…as it was a matched pair with removeable capsules I did trial and error by swapping parts back and forth between the two and was able to ascertain that the actual PCB to the mic had the fault. A quick multimeter test later after comparing the two and I was able to discover one electrolytic capacitor in the faulty mic that, whilst visually looking ok read very differently to the other. A neat replacement later and all fixed too.

As you all were, nothing to see here....🙂

One for guitarists primarily, but it's not bad on bass either!

A Sunn beta, complete with the ability to swap each channel independently to either a beta lead or a beta bass! It also does the two channels at once thing and features spring reverb a la beta lead (which would also work on the bass setting too).

The back features all of the fx/sends too allowing you to add effects loops to channel A, B or both.

And another one that also became a little of a favourite :-)

An Acoustic 360 bass head, complete with the electronic tuning fork! The fuzz switch can be altered from the original sputter to a more modern rounded sound. And there's also toggles to convert the head into the 260 (the electric guitar version).

Permanent resident of the studio ready and waiting for duty....The Super Fun Time SS190B! A copy of a well known 1972 amplifier that many bassists aspire to own or recreate the fuzz sound of....

I currently have some availability for work mid-July onwards! Recording, editing, mixing, mastering etc. Maybe this amps sound will be part of your upcoming work...
