A selection of photos from the BETT AV Educational Event held recently at the ExCel Centre, London. This is the world's largest education technology show and Meritcom staff were in attendance to catch up on the latest technologies.

We are hiring two Trainee Installers/ Engineers, one to be working in the Belfast Area and one in Derry/Londonderry. The roles will involve installing computer cabling and carrying out appropriate tests. Applicants must have a CSR card. Previous site experience would be an advantage but not essential.

The very best of luck to our friends Julian and Damian from the Dowds Group who are doing a charity cycle from Mizen Head (Co. Cork) to Malin Head (Co. Donegal) along with their brothers Adrian & Jonathan, and some close friends.
All monies raised will be donated to two charities close to their hearts - Northern Ireland Hospice and Fr. PJ McCamphill Projects in Kenya.

Well done to Meritcom employees Kenny Henderson, Brian McDowell, Dermot McCallion and Eamon McCauley who recently completed their Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) training. The guys were awarded their licences after successfully completing both the theory and practical parts of the training course.

A few photos from the launch of the new beach wheelchair that was held recently in Downings. The launch of this beach wheelchair is part of the councils initiative to improve beach access for visitors of all abilities.
The wheelchair is now available for use and will be stored locally by Jaws Watersports/Sheephaven Coffee Company.

Councillor Jimmy Kavanagh thanks Meritcom on Highland Radio for sponsoring the new beach wheelchair to Donegal County Council which is set to be unveiled at Downings beach this Friday.

This is only the second wheelchair of its kind in the country and will make Downings beach much more accessible for wheelchair users and their families.

Meritcom staff recently took part in the 40th annual Hickey, Clarke & Langan Interfirms 5k hosted by Letterkenny AC. This is one of longest established 5k races in the Country and is always guaranteed to attract a high calibre field who represent their company rather than their race club for this prestigious event. The Meritcom team included Martin Donnelly (18:58); Conor McLaughlin (19:33); Stephen Burns (19:46); Damien McGinley (22:45); and Paul Kelly (26:13). The Meritcom team all performed exceptionally well with 4 out of the 5 runners all attaining a personal best time with a very commendable Firm 5th place with an overall score of 58.17. Special mention should go to the performance of the night from Damien McGinley who has only recently started running, next year he hopes to go on to win the race outright.

Meritcom have recently completed IRS TV & ICT installations to 149 units across 2 blocks at 3 Colts Lane, London. Installation consisted of a full 13wire TV Solution offering 3 satellite broadcast options as well as free to view and DAB/FM to all TV points within the apartments. We also completed the full ICT installation including Cisco active equipment and Wi-Fi infrastructure for all landlord facilities and future tenants.
