💙 The School Holidays & Autism… 💙

The school holidays can be incredibly challenging for families raising autistic children. Routines disappear, emotions run high, and trying to keep everyone happy can be exhausting.

We’re only one week into the holidays, and if I’m honest, I’m completely drained. There are still five weeks to go, and some days it feels like we’re just taking it one hour at a time.

To all the autism parents out there who are feeling the same—you are not alone. It’s okay to feel tired. It’s okay to admit that it’s hard. Keep going, celebrate the little wins, and remember that you’re doing the best you can.

Roll on the return to school… but until then, we’ll keep making memories, one day at a time. 💙

💙 To the Parents Raising Autistic Children… 💙

Some days are beautiful. Some days are incredibly hard.

There are days filled with laughter, cuddles, and moments that make your heart burst with pride. Then there are days of meltdowns, sleepless nights, anxiety, and feeling like nobody truly understands what your family is going through.

But every milestone matters.

A haircut without tears. A new food being tried. A first word. Holding hands. A smile. A trip to the park. Things that others might take for granted can be life-changing moments for an autistic child and their family.

If you’re raising an autistic child, never compare your journey to anyone else’s. Your child is growing at their own pace, and that’s perfectly okay.

To every autism parent reading this: you’re stronger than you realise, and your love, patience, and dedication never go unnoticed. Keep believing in your child, keep celebrating every victory, no matter how small, and never lose hope.

Autism doesn’t define our children—it is simply one part of the incredible people they are becoming.

💙 Ryan’s New Obsession! 💙

As soon as Ryan walked into the shop, he spotted a wooden mannequin and was completely fascinated by it. He couldn’t stop interacting with it, and it instantly became the centre of his attention.

One incredibly kind member of staff noticed how much Ryan loved it and told him he was more than welcome to play with it. That simple act of kindness kept Ryan happy, calm, and regulated for hours. Seeing him so relaxed and content meant the world to us.

He loved the mannequin so much that we’ve actually ordered him one from Amazon! 😂

A huge thank you to the amazing staff for being so understanding and accepting. They even told Ryan he’s welcome to come and play with the mannequins whenever he visits the shop again.

Kindness like this makes such a difference to autistic children and their families. There really are some truly beautiful people in this world, and we’re so grateful for the compassion you showed Ryan. ❤️

🤖 Ryan’s Favourite Character Right Now! 💙

Ryan is absolutely obsessed with Bender from Futurama! 🤖❤️

This is the second time this week he’s seen the same lovely face painter, and both times he’s asked for Bender to be painted on his face. Seeing how excited he gets is amazing. When Ryan finds something he loves, he really embraces it, and right now Bender is definitely his favourite character.

His smile says it all, and moments like these make such special memories.

💙 Through Their Eyes 💙

They see the world a different way,
Finding magic every day.
In every sound, each light, each breeze,
They notice things most never see.

Some days are loud, some days are tough,
When simple things can feel too much.
With love and patience by their side,
They find the strength they hold inside.

Progress isn’t measured by speed,
But every tiny step they lead.
A smile, a word, a brand-new skill,
Are mountains climbed through strength and will.

So never judge what you can’t see,
Different isn’t less—it’s beautifully unique.
Autism isn’t something to fear or hide,
It’s a different way the heart and mind collide.

To every autistic child out there today:
You are enough, exactly as you are.
Your light shines brighter than you know,
And you make this world a better place to grow. 💙

Breakfast was a success today! 😄🍳 Ryan was completely obsessed with the Bandit toy, pressing all the buttons over and over. It kept him happy the whole time, and seeing his smile made our morning even better. 🤣❤️ Sometimes it’s the little things that bring the biggest joy. 💙
