The Cinder Track 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️

An early morning roadtrip to Whitby for The Cinder Track parkrun, Whitby yesterday. A lovely route over the viaduct and through the woods, coming back to see stunning views of Whitby Abbey. A nice one whether you’re running fast, or just taking it easy, as we were.

A nice breakfast in Whitby to finish off the morning - got to love a parkrun!

What’s on the agenda today? 10 miles - the long mile build begins 😉

Last weekend was the North East Jog On meet up…and in this video watch Chris take on the challenge of pacing a subscriber to a potential PB at the Great North 10k…whilst I attempted to pace my niece Rachel under the hour for the VERY FIRST TIME.

Fastest one this year (I think) 🤔 and a line in the sand. I’ve been struggling but today, even though I wanted to, I didn’t quit. Chris kept me going and I didn’t let the demons win. Really, there was nothing wrong with my body - it was the mind that needed the convincing.

I’m so grateful to the people I have around me - thanks to this running gang for a fantastic morning 🧡💙

And to everyone who said hi, left a message (I’m sorry if I didn’t see you all - I was very much in the pain cave today!!!) or just quietly rooted for me - I can’t thank you all enough!

Sometimes it is hard - but you just have to keep on running! 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♂️

We’ll be at Albert parkrun 💙

After making a blunder and forgetting to book my 5k goal race - I’ll be having a go at it tomorrow with Chris filming - although I’m not sure how much I fancy my chances in the heat 🥵

If you’re there, come say hi (if you say hi whilst I’m running though I’m sorry if I just grunt at you 😂)

A weekend filled with orange 🧡
When and .louise.small come to the North - it’s always the best time 🙌🏻

A weekend filled with parkrun pacing (thank you Louise), breakfasts, giggles, a podium finish 🏃🏼‍♀️🇬🇧 and pacing friends and family! Extreme runner’s high from this weekend - from Roundhay parkrun to North 10k and meeting the whole club and crew - what an EPIC couple of days!

Thanks to everyone who made this weekend such a blast - can’t wait until the next one!
