Dream Wedding Winners Announced
South Shields couple Stacey Normandale and Graeme Ballands have won the wedding of their dreams in a unique competition ran by Metro Radio Cash for Kids Metro Radio in partnership with Mr Mattress New Bridge Street Bedding Centre.
Stacey, 27, a business centre manager and Graeme, 28, an engineer, took on a head-to head charity fundraising challenge against five other local couples to win the once in a lifetime prize of an all expenses wedding. The competition saw couples take on a series of fundraising challenges and events over a two week period. All of the couples got friends, family and colleagues involved and organised activities across the region such as toddle waddles, coffee mornings, dress down days, band nights, quiz nights, bag packs and one of the potential grooms even getting a chest wax.
The total raised by all of the couples reached a staggering £23,799 for Cash for Kids, who helps disabled and disadvantaged children in this region. The winning couple Stacey and Graeme raised an incredible £13,191.46 through the help of family, friends, colleagues and supporters who rallied behind the likeable couple to make their dreams come true.
The spectacular prize includes the wedding ceremony, drink and canapés reception, full three course wedding breakfast with wine, evening buffet and live entertainment plus overnight accommodation in a 4 poster suite all at Macdonald Linden Hall Hotel
The prize also includes stunning dresses for the bride and bridesmaids, groomswear, wedding cake, bridal car, photographer, room decorations, stag party, photobooth hire, white doves, bridal jewellery, all topped off with a fantastic honeymoon by Royal Caribbean International courtesy of Thomas Cook Group plus their very own wedding planner to take all of the stress away.
The winners will also feel the personal touch with individually designed wedding rings from Clusters Bespoke Jewellery , who are specialists in engagement and wedding rings.
Bride and groom to be Stacey and Graeme screamed with joy when they were announced as winners of the competition. Stacey, tearful and full of emotion commented “I’m just so happy, we worked our backsides off for this and I can’t believe it. Whatever the outcome, we were really proud of the amount we’d raised for Cash for Kids and we’ve loved the whole experience.” Graeme said “I’m fighting back the tears to be honest. I want to thank all of our family and friends for their amazing support, we couldn’t have done it without them.”
