Bible of the week - ESV SCR GRN

Our special feature this week is the ESV Single Column Reference Edition in Lincoln Green.

This edition of the ESV SCR is new for 2025, and reprinted for this run. It has a sophisticated mid-green goatskin cover, with a complementing dark green Meriva Calfskin liner and beautiful emerald green ribbons. It also boasts red under gold page edges.

ORIGINAL POST: ANNOUNCING the new Allan 63 Longprimer Sovereign Westminster Blue Limited Edition, in dark teal blue highland goatskin with matching liner, red-under-gold page edges and deep turquoise ribbons. Each copy comes with a Limited Edition print of a specially commissioned watercolour ‘Westminster View’ painted from United Nations Green immediately opposite Westminster Abbey by artist John Walsom, a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.

Westminster is the seat of government for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and every coronation of an English monarch since William the Conqueror in 1066 has been held at Westminster Abbey, as well as many Royal weddings and funerals down the ages. The translation committee of the King James Version Bible met in the Jerusalem Chamber at the Abbey in 1611, to read through the full Bible text to assess its suitability for reading in church.
