Behind the scenes on MakeSense 🎬

We spent two days filming across London – at the MakeSense HQ, out in Battersea Park, and in the founder’s family garage where it all began.

This was part of The Human Component, a series spotlighting people using tech to change lives. Our film follows Mark Baxter, one of the earliest testers of the Vector – a device designed to support navigation for people with sight loss.

Swipe for some stills from MakeSense – a recent five-minute mini doc we produced for the BBC Storyworks series The Human Component.

The film follows MakeSense, a startup developing navigation tech for people with sight loss. Their device – the Vector – uses GPS and haptic feedback to help users plan and follow routes independently.

At its heart is Mark Baxter, one of the first testers, who’s helped shape every version of the device. We spoke to Mark about his experience of sight loss, and the freedom and independence this tech can offer.

🚀 Launching EZRA Edge with a dynamic studio shoot that brought their AI-driven coaching platform to life.
🎨 Creating the EZRA Portrait advert, blending creativity with leadership development.
💙 Collaborating with Simon Sinek on the Gift of Coaching program, providing free coaching to frontline healthcare workers and teaching staff in the US and UK.

New home, new kit, new clients 🎬✨

2024 was packed with exciting projects and upgrades at Rise. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:

🏡 Moved into our bigger & better office in Sutton, complete with a wrap-around desk thanks to some top-tier custom carpentry.�🎥 Overhauled our kit room & Rise van for ultimate efficiency (everything finally has a place!).�💻 Boosted our post-production power with a new server setup & remote editing capabilities.�🎬 Supported team passion projects, including Ray’s artistic skating documentary.�🌱 Continued our commitment to giving back with a team tree-planting day in Cambridge.

Val’s dedication has inspired over 5000 women to saddle up 🚴 With 1000+ rides led and 18,100 miles cycled, her impact is truly legendary.
